Will NES Dogbone Controllers continue to go up in value?
I bought an NES-039 Dogbone controller for $30. Fair price IMO since I think they've gone up in value over the past 3-5 years. I like using it, but it's D-Pad isn't as good as the original rectangle controller IMO, especially for Contra in particular. I was hoping this wouldn't be the case and that I could completely stop using the rectangle controller.
I'm wondering though, is it possible that it will go up in value if I hang onto it? If not I think I might just resell it since I have a Tomee NES Dogbone controller.
I got a Tomee NES Dogbone for free with a Top Loader bundle I bought and was quite surprised that it's actually a fairly usable controller, considering the fact that the last 3rd party Dogbone controller I got from Retro-bit had a horrible D-Pad that was completely unusable. The Tomee NES Dogbone's D-Pad isn't as good as the original from Nintendo when it comes to using all four directions, but for side-scrollers like SMB it's very fun to use, especially with its "clicking" face buttons.
