The medium, as a whole, is still very much in its infancy in the grand scheme of things. Sometimes I wonder how video games will change in the next 1000 years, as humanity comes to terms with environmental destruction, potential future pandemic diseases, etc.


Perhaps we will evolve beyond the 3D dimension and exist solely in metaphysical planes, in which case video games would be obsolete.
