If it's on plastic, like a game box/action figure box, I usually put a tiny bit of WD40 over the area and let it soak in before using a towel to rub away the remaining residue. Sticker residue on paper is harder to remove.

Wow! That was very informative intelligent and enlightening!
Ha-ha ha-ha ha-ha
Maybe a belt sander would be better choice? Just plug it in set it down on them dirty pins turn on and sit back to watch that dirt get whisked away.
K so... take a cooking pot. Boil water. Stick your cart shell, jewel case or whatever plastic object you have in the emerging steam. Make sure you don't burn your fingers. A few seconds later you can just rub any paper/sticker/residue off. This method works even better than oil and it is less messy too.
This is what I used to do, but now use isopropyl instead because it's cheaper and easier to find here and doesn't leave a scent.
Don't ever boil plastic parts. I used very hot water to remove the label from a SMS cart shell to use for an Everdrive and it ruined the finish It's now dull rough and gray colored.
Think MushaAleste was making a reference to the Game Sack video Thief posted guys.
BTW MushaAleste nice COC video post in the What are you listening to thread. It's great to somethings remain the same in a world of constant flux.
