Well, I was just really hyped about a new *Armored Core/Zone of the Enders. I'm a fucking sucker for mechs and those 2 series plus I just love action games and former Armored Core devs on this game. Xenoblade DLC. I never played Pokemon and never will. Series can suck a nut, same with Mario party. Everything else is meh. I like to smash and all but not that hyped. SEGA could have announced Shenmue III is canceled and turned into a kart racer but the fact the Yakuza team is bringing over FOTNS won me with them.
Absolute no-shows overall at E3 are also a good topic of conversation:
For starters,
Sony:
Shenmue III
Nintendo:
Metroid Prime 4
Bayonetta 3
And where in the world is Konami's big Switch two new games reveal?
1 action adventure, 1 compilation.
Hyper Sports R compilation? Really? Should have known better...:?
Also, apart from the PC conference, which I didn't care to watch, where was Sega?
SEGA did announce besides FOTNS, that Yakuza Kiwami and 0 are coming to PC. Something a lot of people have asked for. I personally want more news on SMTV. I know no one else on this forum cares about Persona or SMT but I need some more SMT in my life. I guess The Lost Child will have to hold me over. I don't think they announced much of anything besides that.
Still no Armored Core 6, FROM too busy making money with other games!
PCGamer detailed write up: https://www.pcgamer.com/embargoed-1....om-dark-souls/

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has no classes from which to choose, no character stats to level up, no option to create your own character, no multiplayer of any kind, no armour or weapons to find or equip, and no souls (or equivalent) to collect - or lose after dying. Just to reconfirm: Sekiro is the next big game by FromSoftware, the maker of Dark Souls and Bloodborne.
Indeed, Sekiro can scarcely be called an action-RPG. FromSoftware's Yasuhiro Kitao rather describes it as an action adventure game. One of the few elements that might seem familiar is your character's prosthetic limb - it's capable of hosting a number of gadgets, which you can find scattered around the world. That sounds pretty reminiscent of the trick weapons found in Bloodborne, if you had a temporary flirtation with a PlayStation 4 to enjoy that.
The fact this is NOT a Souls game has now confirmed my interest. Bring back the From Software that experimented more. Let's let From Souls rest a while.
Gameplay still looked to share enough similarities to a Souls game, albeit with plenty added bells and whistles to make it stand out on it's own more.
No RPG elements (leveling up and extra weapons) just means tighter more balanced gameplay.
This information comes from USgamer…
– New mech action game with designs by Shōji Kawamori (Macross)
– Many of its developers worked on Armored Core
– Carry a host of weapons, from laser swords to bazookas
– Can unlock new mechs, pick armor, and customize for durability, mobility, and more
– Missions revolve around “Orders”
– These are mercenary missions that will earn you variable amounts of money
– Orders you choose will determine how the story progresses as well as your allies
– The money you earn can be put toward new weapons
– Destructible environments
– This mainly applies to the buildings, which you can send tumbling down upon enemies if you get the timing right
– Can pick up cars and throw them, rip out sign posts and use them as swords, or pick up weapons from fallen enemies and use them
– Tsukuda wants to have hidden items on top of buildings
– Tsukuda: “We deliberately made this easy to get into, but there is depth to the gameplay as well.”
– Full packaged game
– Working on the Unreal Engine
– On multiplayer: “We’re thinking about ways for everyone to play together, but we’ll introduce exactly how we plan to do that at another time.”

Cyberpunk 2077 info from a reddit post;
Ok, so it's got a day night system and the night will look more neo nior. A little less concerned about it's looks now.Quote:
- Game is FPP RPG with TPP cutscenes
- FP perspective made to feel more personal
- RPG with Shooter Elements not a Shooter with RPG elements
- Multiple different progression systems (Skills, Perks, etc.)
- V, protagonist - urban merc/hired gun.
- Full character creation system (Gender, Looks, Lifepath/Backstory)
- You DO NOT pick classes in the beginning, class system is fluid based on choices
- Dystopian Cyberpunk future shown in sunlight on purpose. Full Day/Night Cycle. Noir themes bleed through environment and aesthetic
- Characters from Cyberpunk 2020 lore will appear
- Netrunner, Techie and Solo are main focused classes
- You can combine classes
- Optional classes exist (like Rockerboy and Corporate) and you can pull perks from them to add into your own custom class [classes are represented by characters throughout the game (via G4ge)]
- Story and quest system from Witcher 3 is implemented into Cyberpunk similarly.
- Choice and consequence is HUGE. Emphasized that the game is an RPG first and foremost
- Story is personalized by player choice.
- Combat - Ranged combat and Melee combat. Learned lessons from Witcher 3. FPS Melee combat.
- Weapons - 3 branches - Power Weapons (heavy hitting/stagger), Tech Weapons (penetrating through cover), Smart Weapons (tracking/following)
- Vehicles - Motorcycles, Cars, hinted at flying cars.
- V is a fully voiced character. Both Male and Female completely voiced.
- V's personality is shaped by player. Backstory and interactions shape V's personality.
- Cyberpunk is a dark dystopia in the same vein as Witcher 3 being Dark Fantasy
- Details of the world - everything has a purpose. World design was a huge focus in setting the tone.
- Night City - in between SF and LA (fictional city). Inspired by both cities.
- 6 unique districts in the city. Each area has its own feel on top of the base Noir feel
- Exploration is encouraged.
- Witcher was horizontally huge, Cyberpunk is vertically huge.
- You can enter buildings, Mega Buildings exist as well with multiple floors and multiple areas to explore within a single building.
- No level scaling. 2 forms of XP - Core XP - Main Missions and Street Cred - Side missions
- Higher Street Cred opens new exclusive vendors and fixers (new jobs)
- EDIT: Also there’s full frontal nudity and you can take people back to your apartment for a one night stand, if you fancy it
What was that, like 40 minutes of Smash Bros?
8 hours and 38 minutes. Remember Treehouse. 2 minutes were for the successor to Armored Core. Then 8 hours of SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!
Then they stopped. For 30 seconds then came back to show more SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH.
I kinda tuned out when they showed all the returning polygons and textures in smash.
Look I do buy Smash and have some fun but fucking god 8 fucking fuckity fuck shit hours. I didn't watch Treehouse but it reminds me of that year they played Zelda for 6 hours. The crazy thing is Switch has a lot of smaller 3rd party stuff this year at retail they could have shown. But no gotta show SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..Zzzzzzzzz... sorry I feel asleep just mentioning smash.
The Soulsborne genre is on fire. They're gonna take advantage of that because it'd be ridiculous not to from a business perspective.
That said, I do think this game will be more different than what Bloodborne was compared to Dark Souls.
Also I literally fell asleep on my bed before Treehouse started.
The Witcher 3 is not dark fantasy. Its high fantasy. I know CD Projekt themselves even said the game is dark fantasy, but thats just not the case.
Every E3 is awkward and has many cringe moments. This one was no different. Some weird pacing and some lackluster shows. Still, I think it was a very good E3 in announcements. Is there really anyone on this forum that didn't have at least a handful of games they are excited about? I'd be surprised if the honest answer is no and if it is, maybe expand your horizons a little. I have now had the time to let all the emotions calm down. I don't think anyone aside from Devolver Digital has a good conference but even Bethesda who I normally don't care about had some interesting things and while Ubisoft in past years had the most shows with the most cringe and even this year with the panda, still had some good stuff. At least there was no Mr. Caffine,Wii Music Drums,Riiiiiidge Racer, that tickles skittles or 1 mirrion troops...wow in E3 2018. Thankfully the awkward moments were not meme-worthy.
Bethesda won E3. They announced the two most anticipated games in existence. Like most people were expecting a Starfield reveal, but the Elder Scrolls VI reveal was surreal.
Also are you forgetting about the Wii balance board and the Regginator?
