By the end of the movie the maker of the AI robot does and they download his brain into one of the robot bodies. I thought at that time... would I want to live like that? Not to mention it wasn't really him anyway. He could have still been alive and downloaded his current consciousness into a robot and at that point he and the robot the robot would diverge into different paths from that point, becoming different people through different experiences and more importantly we are who we are largely perceived and experienced from the perception through The Odyssey we inhabit. They would always have some commonalities but in other ways they would be completely different.
