Yakuza 6. I wish it had more side missions.
Dragon Age Origins. The Fade sucks!
Final Fantasy XII. Vaan does indeed suck.
Deus Ex Mankind Divided. I wish the story was a bit better.
Mario Kart 8. Blue shells need to go.
Matterfall. Final boss is cheap and not much fun.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. The Wedding dress change is lazy.
Xenoblade Chronicles X. Story needs a lot of work.
Dragon's Crown. I wish this game got DLC for more missions.
Asura's Wrath. Fuck Capcom for locking the ending behind a paywall.
LA Noire. Be a better game if it wasn't open world.
No More Heroes 1. Open world sucks as it's so empty.
Shenmue. The voice acting,oh god the voice acting.
Shenmue II. The QTE's are way too fast.

Yakuza 6 - SEGA please work on something new and also give the team at least 2 to 3 years to make the game.

Halo V - Can play please just have single player mode where you just play as the Master Chief

Sonic Forces - The levels are just too short

Gunvalkyrie - Why couldn't the use just double tap in the direction they wanted to boost too

Bug II - Should have been able to save at the check points

The Divison - I know its online, but would have liked to be able to save in-game

Wish Gradius IV kept the weapon edit mode that was introduced in Gradius III. Think GIV runs well enough in MAME now, hopefully someone comes up with cheats to edit weaponry like the cheats for GII in MAME (if not, guess I'll do it myself). For more extra edit options with SNES version of GIII via Game Genie codes, go here (thanks to 'Tony H' for showing me this).

I like SRPGs a lot - but most of the time the AI in these games is just dumber than a box of rocks. Sometimes an individual battle is hard but that is generally by construction rather than the AI being really good.

A couple of examples of this:

The first battle in Warsong - if you stay and fight (rather than slink off like a wimp - which is what the game wants you to do) it is a very hard battle - which you can't always win (there is a bit of luck involved).

The Museum Battle in Shining Force CD. You have to pay real close attention to the movement patterns of the enemies to survive that one.

The chess battle in Shining Force II - if you play with the goal of eliminating the king last it is a very challenging battle - and one where it is hard to level up since you can't get healing items at a shop until you leave the desktop kingdom - which you can't do until you finish the chess battle.

Raiden V. Could have a better OST. it's fine but Raiden IV has an outstanding OST.
Nier Automata. Route B sucks.
Lost in Shadow is a couple hours longer than it should be.

PS2 era world graphics and broken PC port that doesn't smoothly on anything less than gtx 1070.

Some negative things I can say about a hand full of games that I otherwise love.

Beyond Good and Evil - It's a zelda clone.
TES: Oblivion - Faces are ugly and the levelling system is terrible.
Ironstorm - Health kits and ammo is probably more scarce in this game than an actual warzone.
Cities Skylines - Late game gets stale fast.
Adventure (atari 2600) - Where the hell do I go: the video game.
Garry's Mod - The state of the GMOD playerbase these days keeps me from touching this game much any more.

Ass camera in all the non FPS 3D games lol

Sprites could look better in Blazblue Cross Tag Battle.
Caldrious Blaze is a good shmup but can do without the stripping anime girls
Altered Beat as much as I enjoy it just isn't a good game.

Disagree. It's retro goodness Arcade style gaming gold. Or at the very least isn't below average.

That's the conclusion I came to a few months back when I did this game for the first time for Readers Roundtable. Was mostly inspired to play it because of the love/hate controversy behind it, and gave it a good effort by at least 1cc'ing it. And despite being a short game, at least the second loop mixes things up by introducing more enemies (forget if level layout changes too) like a good classic Arcade game.

Mega Turrican - The rope was a terrible idea, it should have a T2 style beam.
Monster World 4 - They simplified too much, way too short.
Resident Evil 4 - The camera is the scariest thing in the game.
Beyond Oasis - Most disappointing soundtrack ever made.
Nier Automata - Those hacking mini games are HORRIBLE.
Zeus: Master of Olympus - Extremely boring and glitchy combat.
Starcraft - Set my expectations far too high for the sequels.
Shinobi 3 - Revenge of Shinobi had much more atmosphere.
Ristar - Ugh those garbled voice samples...
Castlevania Rondo of Blood - Some tiles in the game look early NES-bad.

I could go one for pages, I have annoyances with every game I ever played.

I would like to hear more, Kamahl. But do take your time.

Sparkster (SNES) - The stage and the battle against Axel are super lame compared to RKA, and the robot fight a broken mess.
Gunstar Super Heroes - The helicopter stage is the most boring shooter ever made.
Final Fantasy 6 - Cyan's Bushido, why Square?
Pokemon (all games) - The whole idea of splitting the games in two and requiring trades to evolve Pokemon.
Sonic 1 - The choppy animation in the special stages, some really annoying zones.
Sonic 2 - Tails ruins the special stages, the graphics are somehow plastic looking.
Sonic 3 - Some very lame tiles/colours in certain stages. The special stages are very boring.
Super Mario Bros - Your princess is in another castle
Super Mario Bros 2 - That vertical scrolling.
Super Mario Bros 3 - Oh look, all the bosses are the same damn crap.
Super Mario World - A step sideways from 3.

The glitch in Wolfenstein 2 when reading something and the game freezes drives me nuts.
Save system in Berserk on Dreamcast is jank.
Octopath Traveler the save points used to be better as the guy with the green hat. now as just a book on a pedestal it's easier to miss esp in dark dungeons. Sorta blends into the background.
Assault Gunners HD uses B to confirm not A and you can't change it. It took me a while to figure this out when starting the game it asks you to make a new save file and you press A and it says no save file continue anyway? Press A and the cycle repeats. So all menus B is to confirm and A is back/cancel. Stupid! AlsoI wish I had true color options for my mecha.
