And even the first one could use better frame rate.
All I have to say:

Bonus points if you can spot Tails.
^ +1. Tails' bangs can be seen in that dark blue area a bit northwest of the bottom right corner.
Super Metroid - Space Jump and Wall Jump are too hard to pull off.
Earthbound - The battles really, really, really suck.
Alisia Dragoon - Enemies often pop up right in front of you, giving no chance to avoid getting hit.
Brave Battle Saga - There are too many unavoidable enemy encounters.
Dungeon Exploerer (Mega-CD) - There is too much grinding required.
Zelda: A Link to the Past - The story and the way it is told sucks.
Mega Man X - The Mega Buster upgrade was too hidden (and hard to get once you found it) considering how important it is to get.
Machinarium - It's really hard to see what can be interacted with and not.
Castlevania IV - Some levels look really bad.
Super Mario RPG - Too long and boring scripted story events where the jokes most often fall flat because of lack of animation.
Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic Generations — The super transformation can be super annoying when activated unintentionally. The patch that makes this less likely to happen in Sonic Mania is just super.
sonic mania- too goddamn long
super castlevania 4- the first few stages until the mansion steps suck and are poor to look at.
gran turismo series- why does my civic spin out on a turn at 55mph? horrible physics for lower end cars
a link to the past- story is not told effectively to echo Zebbe
magician lord- the enemy respawn is punishing
Sonic 3 Complete has this as an option too (heck, I think the idea may have originated here).
EDIT: heck, and making Tails fly with the 1P controller too (not a big deal on a Mega Drive where two controllers may be honestly easier, more relevant on an emulator where you likely only have the first controller configured).
Darksiders II. The part you have to crawl out of the pit as the lava is rising. It's insanely poorly designed. I love the game but that very part of the game is why I refuse to play the PS+ version as I do not want to repeat that part. Camera fought me,the controls fought me and you have zero room for error. One mistake and you may as well give up. The seqence only lasts about 1 minute but it's just that bad. Luckily I did do it and loved the rest of the game.
Beyond Oasis can be a bit dull in some parts, combat can get repetitive. But damnit it's still neat.
Earthbound (Mother 2) is hyped to hell and back by its mad dog fanbase. It's good, but it's far from being God's gift to RPGs. And I agree with Zebbe, combat really sucks eggs.
Streets of Rage 3 is hard AF. Seriously. Robot Y is broken as a boss, usually only beatable if you use a really boring (and not really reliable) strategy that games his AI. And it's one of the buggiest pieces of shit I've ever seen, but that's partly why I love it so damned much.
Half-Life 1 (Goldsrc) is full of bugs and didn't age worth shit, but again those are exactly why it's also probably the funnest FPS since Wolfenstein 3-D for me. Plus it's got a healthy dollop of (probably unintentional) gallows humor throughout.
Beyond Oasis must have been the most addictive I've played on Genesis. Originally only fired it up to see what it was all about, but then once made it past the hour mark I couldn't put it down and proceeded to beat it in one sitting. Very fun addictive combat.
Yes, Earthbound is a bit overrated but can see the charm in it now that I look back. Combat is not the main issue with Earthbound, it's the pacing. Personally enjoyed Mother 1 on NES more.
some of the final boss’s attacks in radiant silvergun are so fast that my eyes literally can’t see them?
Darkstalkers series... “darkstalkers” is just plain hard to pronounce. I just want to say derksterkles.
