Yup and change fan speed.
Asus fan expert, I assume.
It's an Acer but my old Laptop was an Asus. Asus had had better control over the CPU/GPU for overclocking. This Acer has better control over the fans but vague on the overclocking. Not needed to OC yet as everything I played so far runs at 1080P 60FPS just fine. I don't know if a 1060 6GB can do 4k (then again I hear Xbox One X is equiv to one) but I don't have a 4k monitor. The most demanding game I have played so far was a demo of Forza 7 and looked great.
Yes, that's because I'm an intelligent person who who is able to get over my ego and adapt when someone points out one of my mistakes. Thanks for noticing.
Even 'dummies' know Windows has had major changes the last five years...

I always get those Acer Predator monitors and Laptops mixed up with Asus' Republic of Gamers boards and cards.
No, a GTX 1060 cannot do 4K, at least with games. My 1080 would probably get around the mid 40s at 4K. That's why I have a 1440p/144hz monitor, instead of a 4K monitor for my PC.
144hz is way more important than 4k anyway.
I don't know how many PC's you have tbf. I was just saying it wasn't much storage... I don't game much on my PC other than the old games, Arma series and I also use Play Anywhere and also am a sub to Origin and just that takes up a lot of storage. So I just keep my SSD for Windows in the main.
I have 3 PCs. That's why I noted that it was the PC in my living room. http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthr...l=1#post824837
The living room PC has a 128GB SSD for boot and a couple of 500GB HDDs for mostly older games. It's a very light duty PC for gaming.
The main rig has a 500GB SSD that I use for Windows and games like GTA V, that don't have a service dedicated to a lot of games. I have a PS4 for Sony's exclusives, and games that aren't that demanding. I don't have an Xbox One, because all of its current software runs way better on my PC and its hardware way outclasses the Xbox One X. Gaming with an SSD is like having a current gen console that uses carts; everything loads up extremely fast.
I have to attest with the SSD comment. Loading up games is super fast. Even restarting the PC is insanely fast with it. Open up any Xbox One game on PC is instant. Warframe instant from Steam. It's as fast as turning on a light switch.
Yes, but it's the way you went about commenting.

500 Gigs is nothing, more so for anyone who's a serious PC gamer.
Why is it always you who has to seriously derail everything?
I was repounding to a post, just made out that 500 Gigs isn't a lot of storage of PC games in the 4k era and when PC games tend to use more space each install. I'm don't game much on my PC but most of the storage is used up. My steam and origin stuff alone, takes up a huge amount of space...
I was making a point about a 500GB HDD being horribly slow and you made a snooty comment, as if I would be normally using that drive for gaming, even though I've made it very clear that I game using SSDs. The 500GB HDD is going to be way faster than your 6 platter HDD and I could go make a sandwich in the time it would take for your game to load. You don't need 6TB of storage space on your PC, when you can pick and choose which titles are readily available, while still having the rest of your library in the cloud. Just like I've done with my Origin account.
