You might want to try using a bigger image.
I suppose you could frame a "which is better?" discussion a number of different ways, some of which might involve less tangible reasons for preference. But if we're talking performance, a 32 bit internal bus & 16 bit external bus is going to be oodles better than 16 bit internal + 8 bit external bus. Especially when when the machine with the smaller bus is also sending larger instruction sets at slower speeds. The Genesis was just a better machine for the time.
Having said that, there's lots of other reasons why someone might prefer the SNES, despite its disadvantages. I think lot depended on the types of game a person enjoyed, and of those games that had representation on both consoles, which versions people enjoyed more.

Also why is this thread yet another SNES vs Genesis specs thread? For fuck's sake, really?
Very true. I Liked the SNES more simply down to its single player games like Metroid, Mario and Castlevaina IV, when it came to multi player and Sports games the MD killed the SNES. That said I liked the Mega CD above them all, just down to how much I enjoyed the 2 Lunar games and the 3D sections to Batman Returns.
Fucking click it.
Oh yes I am. I play a game on the Saturn at least once a month.
Not even sega fans see saturn as a serious gaming machine? Play once a month?? What? Saturn should be top priority amongst games!
