Telltale might be closing it's doors. All games cancelled. Massive layoffs.
-
That’s a shame. I’m currently playing Tales from the Borderlands on PS4. I only paid $10 for it several months ago, so I can see why they might not be in the best place, financially.

Haha i literally have never even heard of this company
Sorry bored at work and taking the piss

How is it even possible to never have heard of Telltale? You would have to live under Mount Olympus Mons way over in Mars as Helen Keller to never hear of Telltale if you played any games within the last 20 years.

Tell me you're joking. Nobody really does point and click type games anymore. What they have been able to do is amazing. I liked Back to the Future The Game. Only played the first Walking Dead game, and I enjoyed it a lot more than that abysmal show. The Batman game they did was enjoyable. Sorry that you like seeing people lose jobs.

I'm not a fan of Telltale games but I agree some of these responses are baffling.

I like them, but I'm not one of those fanboys that thinks they are perfect. They have some flaws in them. My biggest gripe is having to choose a response quickly before you run out of time. Never liked that. Personally I don't think TellTale's lineup will ever top Last Crusade from LucasArts, but they were competent enough. Just sucks that they might shut down.

I'm not. I've never gotten the amount of jerking off that studio seems to get. Their games are mediocre at best. People claim they try to capture the joy of old LucasArts point and click adventures, but honestly their games don't even hold a candle to those older titles. The games represent just what's wrong with modern gaming with drawn out small episodic releases and the need to buy Season Passes. The stories really don't have much going for them and the gameplay isn't anything great either. They're just ok games and stories riding on the coat tails of an immensely popular existing franchise. If you took that aspect out of their games, I doubt there would be much to write home about.
If I want to read fan fiction about my favorite TV Shows or Movies, I know where to go to get it for free. I'm not about to pay for what boils down to episodic releases of interactive comic book versions of fan fiction.

I don't like seeing people lose jobs. At the same time though I'm not going to lose sleep over a mediocre studio who's only claim to fame was "They made that game about my favorite TV Show/Comic Book/Movie!" closing down. The good talented people who worked there will find work soon enough. The job market is exploding right now, especially for talented software developers.

How can you survive when you invest your money only in paying license fees for others popular franchises and then work on such properties which you do not own in the end?

1. Shut down TellTale
2. Do not shut down TellTale
.... TWO!
You chose option 2, do not shut down TellTale.
...sadly three days later TellTale still shut down.
Clementine will remember that
Such deep gameplay ;_;
