British television and production has always captured my attention and I think it is because a great many programs are not over-the-top as we have in the states. Recently I started watching David Suchet in Poirot from 1989-2013. Well done.

So it's been a real long while since I've had time to watch a series.
I tried picking up a few current animes and I don't know if its the subject-matter or art style, but I don't like any of it?
So long-story short, I watched a title I've had on my backlog from forever ago: Noir (2001).
Wow.
Really good. Really enjoyed it. And really had to share.
In summary: Two women who are assassins trying to unravel their pasts, stumble upon a shadowy organization which may have their answers. Nicely drawn, nicely animated and excellent musical score. Violent but not graphic. Good pacing, starting episodes serve as a backdrop to relationships/development but last few episodes sprint toward a thrilling wrap-up.
If you are looking to burn time, it's only 26 episodes and worth your while.
If you don't have the interest/attention-span, at least check out the third-to-last gun fight. Pretty bad ass:

I'm about 5 episodes in on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. It's a pretty cool show, that captures a lot of the essence of the video game.
