Outrun 2 was exclusive to the Arcade and Xbox. Outrun 2006: CTC was a visual downgrade for Xbox owners that had played Outrun 2.

Way to prove what I’ve said. MS makes more money off of PCs than they do consoles. They were almost ready to bail on consoles, because of the billions they had lost on the Xbox and Xbox 360.

And I'm just made the point that MS not only makes money off people like me (console) but also PC gamers like you, or can you point me to a current GFX that doesn't support Direct X? And btw XBox Live is made up of console gamers for the main.

No, I accept that the console market has a higher percentage of casuals within its userbase. A game like Minecraft sold more on the PC than any console it was released on. PUBG sold a ton more on PC than Xbox One. Battlefield 1 probably sold just as well on PC, as it did on the consoles, and Overwatch was a massive success on PC. PC gamers consider Call of Duty to be garbage, while console gamers continue to support it.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Outrun 2 was exclusive to the arcade and Xbox in 2003. Outrun 2006: Coast to Coast was multiplatform in 2006, just 5 months after the launch of the Xbox 360. The PC version of Coast to Coast was delayed.

Was it? I had both (2006 on PS2) and from what I remember, even though Outrun 2 was called that on Xbox it was actually the SP update that was also in 2006. CTC was the more accurate port IIRC.

The picture of my copies is right there. I got my Xbox somewhere around 2003-2004 and Outrun 2 was one of the 1st titles I got for the console. I know PS2 has one of the largest and best libraries ever but I still kinda hate the PS2 in one regard. So many games had to be ugly or uglier because PS2 was the lead platform. So many games had a washed out look with horrible textures (GTA and Yakuza for example) while Gamecube and Xbox were so superior in hardware that could do much better textures. Well, even Dreamcast was better in that regard. I don't hate the system just how many multiplat games looked because of it and yet it had one of the best looking games that generation and to 1st party with FFXII.

These days I don't find it as much of an issue with modern systems. Games look so good now that even with a little less detail or a lower resolution they mostly still look fine to me. It's framerate I worry more about now where as back then not so much.

If PC is so affordable and popular, then how come there isn't a surge in numbers for games that aren't mainly Valve, MMO's and FPS games? I like playing computer games as much as the next guy, but its always those same kind of titles that are the most popular and a lot of others get ignored completely.

Where do think that Minecraft got its start? The game sold 29 million copies on PC alone, which is 30% of all sales of the game across all platforms.

Blizzard also has a huge following with games like Diablo III selling 20 million copies and Starcraft at 11 million. Overwatch (yeah, it's an FPS) has generated a massive following on PC.
