Ronnie Barker is widely regarded as one of the best British comedians ever, but even he missed the mark on occasion and stepped over into lewd territory that was quite tasteless. A bit Benny Hill at times.
I don't think Game Sack is sexist (I'm a big fan and have seen them all as I enjoy their review style), but I also found the short and easy comment a bit naff. Usually I find Joe and Dave quite funny, so it semed a little lazy as a joke. Had the game been about girlfriends / dating simulation I might have found it funnier in that context.
I'm not offended, and not out to undermine anyone else's arguments here, this is just my opinion. I also think the thread title should not have been changed by the way.
He was a legend and made comedy in an area when you had none of this #Me too, overreaction to anything.. which does nothing to help the people of real Sexual assaults or sexual harassment (which btw can happen to both men or women)Quote:

Don't think its lazy... it was just a product of its time and it still stands today. You'll see repeats far more of the stuff Barker was behind, to the gaff stuff that's classed has TV comedy these days. It so sad, but in this day and age, Only Fools and Horses can now be classed as a sexist comedy... given Dell 'Boy' boast on the number of women he's slept with or the amount of times he's pinched Marlin's bottom.Quote:
