Next game up: Ninja Gaiden. I only recorded the boss fights and cinematics. In hindsight, I kind of wish I'd recorded a full playthrough. I was pretty good at Ninja Gaiden back in the day to the point of being able of 1CCing it. I did have a hang up with Malth, but whatever.

Same with Ninja Gaiden II. Bosses and cinematics.

Valis

I did that a lot actually. Sadly I don't have any of the tapes anymore.
and following up Valis with Valis III.

Valis III is such a better game. It always weirds me out that it came out before the first Valis in the US.
I recorded Streets of Rage 2, The Lion King and Sonic 2 so my youngest sister could "play" them. I'd put the video on and hand her a controller (she was around 4).
Several more games have been added. I added a recording of the Model 1 Sega CD demo that runs when no disc is in the system. Sol-Feace, Cobra Command, Road Avenger, Wolfchild, and Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective.
Here is the video for Wolfchild:

Added some more videos. Ending for Ecco the Dolphin, Lightening Force, Sonic 1 & 2, Miracle Warriors, Golvellius, Kung Fu Kid, Star Fox, and Silpheed.

You recorded these on SP? I'm amazed by how clear the video is in the few I watched. Laughed at you dying to Funky Dynamite as he always gave me trouble.
I would use SLP to get 6 hours out of my tapes. The video quality suffered, but I really just used it for music, either copying game soundtests or running CDs through my Sega CD.
No. These were all recorded as 6 hour SLP. I'm actuall kind of surprised how well the video held up. It helps that I'm recording at 60fps. It helps preserve some of the video quality (at least as well as can be for recordings done 20-25 years ago. The video for Star Fox has a comment from me remembering the approximate time frame for the first four tapes.
I've uploaded some more videos.
Videos for Lunar the Silver Star, Streets of Rage II, Secret of Mana, Night Trap, Rebel Assault, Vay, Final Fantasy III (SNES), Comix Zone, Super Castlevania IV.

Neat videos. :)
Recording playing games on VHS seems like something I would have done back in the day, most likely on C64, but I can't recall any instances. I do remember audio recording Revenge of Shinobi music.
I’d recorded the music from Lunar: The Silver Star and Galactic Attack onto a cassette. My car didn’t have a CD player back then.
