Very true. I now realize it's like asking for .7z or, idk, h265 decoding hehe

Apologies if this is a daft question, but theoretically could the MegaSD run the few MegaLD games? Assuming that the LaserDiscs themselves have even been dumped?
We're still trying to get our head around how the Mega LD works (and what format to eventually use to hold game dumps), so I really doubt that.
Maybe it's a weird question, but if I keep my physical MCD connected, can I load a different BIOS just like an everdrive, to run physical CD games from different regions?
so you would buy a 250 $ cart to de-region your MCD ? You know an Everdrive x3 can already do that, right?
Also I like that the site looks like how the web was when the console was still in market
Pretty sure the Mega SD will not work at all if a Mega CD is connected (and vice versa). The two will fight over the CD-side accesses.
If it's possible I'd look into what the Domesday 86 project has done, IMO they have put the most work into figuring out how to preserve everything on a laserdisc:

Anyone know about what mods the Nomad needs for full compatibility?
No, I just want to know if I can get rid of my everdrive md if I want to use my mcd from time to time.
Ideally it would act like a standard flashcart, if connected to a real mcd, and just lock up if you tried to run an iso.
If the mcd part can be initialed at a later time, it should be possible.
I'm just glad this exists, even though after shipping it is near $300 =0
Or a Mega SG.
Mega SG + Mega SD + 8bitdo M30 2.4g = Ultimate Mega Drive for the 21st Century.
