Yes, I was confused. At first I had it as Wing Commander 3. Then I changed it to Super Wing Commander. It was a shot in the dark. I still don't know how they did that intro FMV without any noticeable compression artifacts, especially the red screens since red is usually the color to break up the most when compressed.Quote:

Gridders is a full game, I own it and it is an awesome puzzle game. IQ for the PSX is the closest thing I can compare it to...the worst puzzle game on the 3DO has to be Ice Breakers. It's not a bad game, just really boring...
Saturn SotN plays way better even with its short comings, simply because of the extra hand that saves you from flipping back and forth from the options screen and just to use an item and most importantly of all, the boots that let you run instead of walking through the entire second castle.Quote:

Overall the visuals are better on Playstation and its superior on a technical level, but that only makes the Playstation version Saturn quality and the Saturn version Playstation quality 2D-game-wise.
Okay. I just heard the Saturn port was generally considered the inferior version.
Graphically, it is (although the amount of slowdown is often exaggerated). But it has a bunch of extra stuff that makes it the better version... the only problem being the language. For people who can read Japanese, the Saturn version is superior.Quote:

Yea I didn't bother with the PS 1 version much. I played halfway through it once and stopped. The Saturn one I beat a couple of times though,loved it to death. The visual drawbacks to that version are very minor,as is the language barrier. Nothing that you would need a faq for honestly.
The transparencies on the PS version are superior and it's one thing that the Saturn doesn't do well. I never understood why that wasn't something that was built into the Saturn hardware, when the SNES had that as a hardware feature.Quote:

The best 2-D transparancies I've seen on the Saturn, were the clouds in Iron Storm and Galactic Attack (Layer Section.)
Knowing that the 32x doesn't have transparency support, where there any magazines that stated it did? Honestly, I don't remember much about the 32x hype back then.
