It's a reboot of the series

The original Japanese tweet says the series will be restarted. Whether if its a reboot or just "we started working on it again" remains to be seen.Quote:

The question is whether in Japan they use the word "reboot" the same way we do when talking about franchises. Either way, I expect this to be something like Puyo Puyo Champions but for Virtua Fighter (i.e. stripped down to the essence, no story or anything, just the game proper itself).
