That is life, but I do appreciate how you all have always tried to please the masses with decisions. This is an important thing to me honestly so I am trying to bring attention to it to see what others want. I didn't get what I wanted on a number of polls, but that was what the masses wanted to I didn't say anything. In the end, I'm going to take whatever I get either way because I don't make the decisions. It would be great to have a choice though.

Pier Solar had info out for a long time before hand. They can't be angry they didn't get an original copy if they don't want to be active on the forums to know what's going on. That's just crazy. I wasn't a member of any forms and I found an article about it.

I also didn't get a few poll results I didn't want, but that's OK, it will be a great game anyway.

Yeah, the information was out. But when people say it's unfair to those who couldn't afford... what can I say? We can't wait until everyone in the world affords the game, game development doesn't work like that :P.

Haha. I believe it was like $30 for the invertors copy. I could pull $30 together by cutting down my grocery bill for the week. They just didn't want to invest in an unknown product. Once it ended up being good, then they wanted it. The investment period was long enough that $30 could have been accumulated easily. What a poor excuse.

It was $35 and you're right about not sure about investing in an unknown product. I also believe they took a bath on it selling it at $35 for how much was put into the game. Also, they only had a limited number of each version even during preorder, and some people like me foolishly decided not to buy the game after the version they wanted was sold out.

I think it's hilarious that WM is going to stick people who invested hundreds of dollars to fund this project with cardboard boxes. I really hope this isn't true, especially since they can apparently get plastic clamshells made so easy. Let me just make a statement here that I will not buy a copy of this game if it comes with a cardboard box. I don't care how good it is.

I second this notion. If I buy this and it comes in a cardboard box, I'm not even going to play it. I'm just going to take a shit on it and throw it in the trash.

How can the material of the box have such a big impact on the decision to buy or play the game? And what's wrong with cardboard, really? It's the only way to make neat collector editions, with custom-made shape and features. Nearly everyone who got the Pier Solar classic edition loved the cardboard box, because it was so much better than those by Nintendo and Sega back in the day.

Personally, I'm not too concerned about the packaging! Packaging doesn't make a great game! It could be wrapped up in a brown paper sandwich bag for all I care! In my opinion if the game exceeds everyone's expectations, then this argument about the type of packaging being adopted becomes a moot point!

If it IS a cardboard box, I hope it's like Pier Solar's with the manual built in and very sturdy construction. That's about the only cardboard box I approve of.

Don't worry. I'm going to pull out the old EA cart with a diaper first then sanitize the clamshell with bleach. I still want to be able to play project Y after all.
