Whenever I read updates about this game, WM, and Fonzie, I can't believe this is still going on. How has some game news company not blown this story open? It's like a goldmine. A uber-secretive, eccentric developer, a convoluted crowdfunding system, extended radio silence, sudden loss of the code, paypal drama, etc. I imagine a website could have a field day with just the quotes from this thread.
Part of me wants this to happen, just so we can get some damn answers. Then again, what if we all just got bamboozled, and this game is simply not happening? If a website found that out, I would actually be kinda sad. I just want this game/saga to be over, but then what? All we would have to talk about is how smaller, less financially established indi-devs can make games in fractions of the time with great transparency. I know that the quality of game, packaging, etc. is different, but I'm just sayin'.
I mean, somehow, in all this time, WM produced/packaged/shipped/published 2 Genesis games with zero build up/crowdsourcing money, but were unable to secure publishing/packaging for a game they totally got paid for? C'mon... This needs a web-series investigation piece by Vice Media.
