Not Watermelon. Super Fighter Team.
though not one of the better tracks, it's not awful...you're thinking of part 3
i also would like to to know this!
I've always meant to get around to checking out Beggar Prince, kind've put it on the backburner for hopes of an Everdrive one day.
A cool thing would be to add hidden characters depending on your behavior and accuracy.
When you have the possibility to make different decisions, a game is less boring.
Also is there several ways/paths to finish the game ? Several endings ? Secret areas ?
How many weapons/vehicules the characters could use through the game ?
As much as I love gimmicks and variety I'd have to say that to me the most important part is the core game. If the core game is fun to play you won't need any extra stuff, you just play the original game again and again because it's so much fun.
Hopefully, the Streets of Rage style font is only temporary. I like the font, but they should do their own thing.
Also, I want a bonus stage where you practice on a Mario punching bag. (Just leave poor Luigi out of it.)
I think you've all missed the boat, Watermelon were asking for these types of suggestion/contribution on their forums months and months ago.
TMNT Hyperstone Heist is fun but linear and classic with a solid achievement.
There is variety in Battletoads but it is not a fun/good game to play imho.
So what are the ultimate decisions of Watermelon concerning those suggestions ? What do we expect from them to be in game ?
It's at watermelon's discretion ultimately. I imagine most of the considerations made on the forums have been read by the team and they've ultimately made their own decisions.
Several polls were taken early on to decide general game direction. I'd imagine at this point things like major graphic changes to characters would be hard to do given how hard it's been for them to find artists. Which was always a problem during pier solars development cycle.
I hope the game has a fully coherent background and gameplay with the cyberpunk universe.
Wow cant beleive the SOR2 inspired font is getting hate. Also its a beat em up you are going to be beating the hell out of palette swaps for a good portion of the game. This will be 40+ megs released 20 years after SOR2 so I guess there is a chance for a wider array of enemies. As long as the game isn't like Power Rangers the Movie on the Genesis all beam em up enthusiasts should be pretty estatic.
I don't think I ever identified with the jacked Axel or sexy Blaze but I don't think a beat'em up would be that fun if I were in it since I would get murdered by the first gang member on the screen.
Joking aside, some variety would be good. I don't really have a problem with the character design I've seen so far but it is hard differentiating the heroes from the thugs in those screenshots.
Really that's a minor quibble, if the game looks as beautiful in motion as it does in stills I'm already sold.

Ok, so im here to answer a few questions.
The game will be released with some quite amazing stuff. All I can say is that if you thought that pier solar release was awesome, then your in for a treat. ( trust me we are working extra hard to make it special)
Secondly, there seems to be alot of expectations, yes the game is looking quite amazing for a Genesis one, yes the music, tech, character, story, world will be quite awesome as well in my point of view. But dont forget this is still beying done in a limited hardware that we are pushing in ways that where not done before.
Still understand that we are not 30 people working on this. Much more like tree times less then that. And a beat em up is still a beat em up and the goal is to make it look great but stull retain the feeling of a Genesis game that I like so much.
That being said, I am confident in our work and game but it has been a tremendous chalenge to get animations. As said before people ask as if they are working on a million dollar project, or simply arent good enaugh. As for some resamblenses to fonts, characters or mooves from othere games, well our goal is to have more of a tribute to those games we love so much but it stays as a ressamblance more then anything else.
Also I am planning to release soon some pictures showing the evolution work of ourrmain charcter sprites and art so that people see the kind of work we are putting into them.
For the most part Fonzie an myself have been having lack of sleep for free of charge in orther to make this game for you, us ........sega genesis fans.
To conclude thank you for all your support, see you next time.
But the problems with the lack of animators has been solved, yes? You guys got someone who does a good job? I am asking because I could reference a couple of guys who are pretty good at this from what I can tell.
