Confusing for me as well trust me? Really don’t understand what’s going on.

yeah i saw it being something about the pcb. That could be the case. I just don't see any reason for him to be out in public on purpose to show off a game that's broken. I am going to believe him on this one. Why would anyone even with a big ego do something knowing the game is not near finished. I don't believe that's the story here. Goldenboy played a version last year that is more complete without these issues.
I don't think he switched out engines or did a complete 180 on the build. I believe something went wrong and he is not far off from manufacturing the pcbs for the game. Something about needed a investor sounds about right. We already know the original chip he wanted to use couldn't be for some reason and he worked on the game to accept the new hardware. It's hard for anyone here or else where to remember all of this because people are ready to jump Fonzie every chance possible because of his lack of communication.
He already said some things went into production so i assume the shells, stickers, posters is ready or some of those things.
Well, if it was a PCB issue, was it just the one he was playing? There were other TVs set up with the game, right? Did they all have the same issues?
Even assuming the glitches are just PCB issues, still doesn't explain zero enemies and the general unpolished feel.
I am not sure. I think he only had the one pcb on him but i would have to ask the mgf member that went there to see if more then one was available. The game was in debug mode.

It's kinda sad to see that it's sort of a widespread tone of confusion and disappointment across the board. If this was his plan, I guess, success? But I don't know how you can come back from this, outside some sort of "Sike! Game's done, non-believers! Hey Sega-Jorge, eat croooooooooooooooowwww!" but I don't really see that happening.
What's really weird is that I was pretty confident that maybe things had turned around. That perhaps, Fonzie saw that things were not looking good, and that focusing on delivering the game for this anniversary would have been a really great way to launch the game. I was thinking he might come through, but I guess I should have been a bit more skeptical. WM and Fonzie are in no place to be promising launch dates, having launch parties, etc. IF the game's current state is about what we saw today, I think there is going to be a pretty severe backlash. Any way you cut it, this was a bad look on Fonzie, WM, and Paprium.
But was that earlier version running on real hardware? Or was it, as I suspect, on an emulator? Otherwise I don't know how you go from having working PCBs several years ago to the mess we just saw.
That was a bit of a joke Jorge with the fake out. I believe Fonzie on the issues he had with the pcb.
The damage to people believing Fonzie has been done already and that hasn't gotten much worse here. Most people here already made up their minds about Fonzie and watermelon.
As far as backlash goes. People have already dropped out and others could if they want to. I imagine from what i know about the game that many will come back when it finally ships.
Will that happen for sure? We shall see either way. Will it hurt future crowd funding? Probably but i don't think there will be any others after project n. There are atleast 3 other games after project n assuming they aren't cancelled.
If any of the special chip problem stuff is true, it only shows all the more how much of a waste of a good game it is to invest time and effort into making an out of spec hybrid Mega Drive game.
Authentic Mega Drive sound is as much of the charm of the hardware and library as graphics are.
If the game needs to be rebuilt from scratch because of an external chip no longer being available, it shows how far away from a real Mega Drive game it was going to be.
I hope that it really is being rebuilt and will no longer use modern enhancements. That would be worth waiting for. A fully transparent explanation and realistic projected timeline needs to be given tomorrow though. With all of the bait and switch preorder shenanigans, there is no way that Fonzie can afford to fulfill all of the refund requests he's about to be bombarded with.
I don't think it was rebuilt but something had to be changed because the off the shelf chip that was planned wasn't going to be used due to a lack of enough of them. It was reported somewhere here by Matt but i don't remember what page.
