I trust Luis enough to think that he wouldn't casually put his own public reputation on the line unless there was something solid to show.

That said, even if he did play the final version of the game on real hardware (for real this time!) that means squat for the actual release of the game.

Fonzie could easily disappear on him again taking his "video proof" of chinese manufacturing with him leaving him out to dry.

Hopefully, that isn't the case, but if another pre-order happens to open without a tangible product, I'd advise everyone to warn any new possible buyers.

Luis, your April Fool's day joke is just about a month late.

Of course, any tidbit of news is like dumping gasoline on the smoldering fire that is this thread, for whatever that's worth. :?

I made some promises regarding my own projects and when they'd be done.

Not a chance... there is no way that party went as Fonzie planned.
I think he was having problems with getting the game to work on real hardware so he turned off the enemies in an attempt to remove the sprite glitches, but it didn't really work. Maybe those issues are fixed now. But if they are I find it hard to believe Fonzie was responsible, he must have had help from someone who knows a lot more about hardware.

So fonzie came to montreal just to get a couple of artwork signed? Sounds like he still got our money to throw around! Hopefully this time its true, Luis is a reliable professional

I have zero faith in this and won't think otherwise until the cartridge is in my console.

And the Paprium cycle's restart : D

The only good thing about Paprium thus far would be the music.
I've played mediocre games with great soundtracks, it can make
you forget about its shortcomings. Paprium will be more passable
than Pier Solar unless you do not value music very much in a game.

I believe in Luis and Armen, but that doesn't mean that they haven't been fooled.. Nor does it mean that we are going to receive the game in a short time (if ever we receive the game).

I had already told Fonzie 3 months ago to show an excerpt of the game to reassure people. To no avail...

I guess it's not a matter of "I believe in this guy or this other guy" anymore, because it's been proved that in the end it all falls under one guy's decissions. So thanks Arm and Luis for your info, but you know, we've been told quite a few times now that work is finished and manufacturing is wel underway, with two release dates that proved to be false. Maybe third time's a charm. We'll see!

BTW. I am ready for launch party 2.0. When and where?

FYI everyone, I've known Luis for quite a while now. We talk pretty frequently and I trust him. Here is what he told me personally, and I believe him 100%:

I saw videos of manufacturing, components awaiting in boxes piled up in storage, saw workers putting the arcade sticks together, I play tested the arcade stick while playing the game. Held more then one " final " PCB in my hand and, transferred data to it while play testing the game. We took the time to go over the hole games visuals, levels, art, flow, etc, one more time. Goal is to polish it as much as possible in the coming weeks before he feels it's good to go. And for those who want to know. it plays as smooth as FF, Cadilacs and Dinausaurs or The Punisher Arcade.

Did have long and constructive talks with Gwenael and mentioned that it's time and great opportunity to send out a update and move towards a more positive outcome. Witch he agreed
Now all that said, lets see if he will be as positive and fallow on my advices once he gets back to china. But one thing is for sure. The game will be released.

I too had lost complete hope that this game would ever be released. But this gives me hope once again. Let's see what happens shall we...
