No news from Watermelon or their Collaborators, they seem very busy
as they should work hard until the 25th march... Only 1 month left :!:
I got a message through the newsletter this morning, stating that only "a handful" of enemy sprites are still to be finished.Quote:

ProjectY, Sprites!
I got an E-mail as well last night (3:04 am):
"ProjectY, Sprites!
As you know, we had some sprites issues, but now we are racing through completing all the enemies sprites. So few left!
Also took advantage of this extra delay to improve and add details to our backgrounds!"
Maybe check your spam folder?
Why would you give so much credit to a guy like that?
WM has said, more than once since this project began, that the investor's edition would be even more full of extras (in terms of packaging) than the Pier Solar's... So, I think we could give some credit to WM and just wait for the real thing to materialize.
And, if I were you, I wouldn't pass the chance to get the investor's edition.
Changing the subject a bit, I'm happy to see that the Yuzo madness has ended since Verctor's banishment.
Seriously, guys, as much as I dig SOR2 soundtrack and Yuzo's work I really want to listen to new artists, really new stuff. And, after all, it's a WM's thing and up to them to decide if they want stuff like that included in their product or not.
Finally, Vector wasn't even an investor when most of stuff was being decided AFAIK and to try to force WM to include some Yuzo stuff by directly contacting the guy while bypassing both WM's team and the investors was totally absurd IMO. And a bit disrespectful to the guys which are working to provide the music to the game.
Well, that's just my opinion and how I see it.
Project Y seems to be close to be released now, so I think it'd be better to just give the guys a break instead of putting more pressure towards project changes which aren't really feasible anymore.
The differences will be mainly about the packaging, box art and few extras (poster ? CD soundtrack ?
making of ? guide ? signed postcards ? stickers ? It could be so many things...etc...).
The very first investor's nicknames will replace some regular ennemies name (randomly I think)
and all their wmfactory nickname will be mentionned in the ending credits.
A Grafitti contest has been set up until 7th march : http://www.magicalgamefactory.com/en/blogs/
The best one will be implemented ingame.
So with the last newsletter, we can conclude that the game is very closed to be achieved.
The watermelon staff is polishing their new "baby" and is fixing some details.
I wish the content & the gameplay will be as great as the aesthetic dimension.
Do you think that the release date of 25th march will be respected ?
Will Watermelon's crew do another Megadrive re-issue of Pier Solar simultaneously in march too ?
Do they have a constraining schedule with
- the release of Pier Solar HD for Dreamcast in April/Summer,
- and the release of Project N at the end of this year 2014
Is this really going to come out the 25th? It seems a bit unlikely that the game is due in about 3 weeks if the preorder window hasn't even opened yet. The official name hasn't even been released.
Protip: It's not going to be released in 3 weeks. 3 months? Maybe. Fall? More realistic. I like how hush-hush they are about all that stuff, though.
I'd be happier with a Fall release, might mean I'd have money to spare for it.
