There was a winner. The guy traveled all around the world and put his stickers everywhere. We may have had a second prize winner too, Tim (rest in peace!), who wrote the guide on GameFAQs, which later became the base for the official guide (we were both part of that team). Anyway, Tim made a spoof on the delayed shipments of the first edition of Pier Solar and did a "demonstration" outside his local post office (with a custom sign and all, which said "We want Polo Solo!" and had the stickers). Polo Solo was what a guy from New Zealand called the game, he was a hardcore Mega Drive collector and mailbombed WM everyday for a while because he had't gotten his game (he did get it after a while). And Fonzie replied to each mail :D. That guy was pretty funny and I bought some games from him. He eventually sold off his entire Mega Drive collection and became a bodybuilder instead.

Enough trivia for today :).

Wow this is crazy trivia. So for the sticker-bombing campaign, were there ever photos posted online, or something? I think I'd love to see photos of Pier Solar stickers bombing over mundane objects like lamp posts, and cars, etc. I'd also like to see pics of the Polo Solo "demonstration" that you mentioned lol.

There were photos... yes... they were in the PHPBB, before the MGF existed. I don't know if backups exist but if they do, that's where they are.

I've always wondered, is Tim333 the guy in the red shirt or blue shirt in this pic? He was the biggest Pier Solar fan out there, I didn't know him but was super sad when I heard the news about his passing =(

I've been saying this for a while. Even if it came out, it's missed its window entirely. I mean, if it comes out, great. If not, I'd love my money back, so I could give it directly to Bitmap Bureau, to fund whatever they'll undoubtably finish. I just want this to be over.
