I'm not sure. I only remember those freezing fire extinguishers.

It was put to vote on the MGF forums for investors to decide on guns, the presence of blood etc
Sweet man this is exactly what i was looking for! I agree on your assessment, we seem to be between sor1 and 2 for moveset diversity. I'm cool with that honestly, I never expected it to be a streets of rage killer, that's too much pressure for a homebrew. I'm glad I can combo into my grabs at least. It also looks like the usual strat of adding two punches in a grab before a throw for extra damage is still there. And AND may I point out the signals in this game displayed both of their traits in this clip (slide attack and throws) so that's a good sign! Game seems more active with 2 players on screen, looking like the way it's meant to be played. Thanks for all the clips man, enjoy the game!
They are in the manual. This is just level 1-1 I guess. The human shield thing is also in the manual, both if you grab the 2p or a foe, I think. Grabgate is surely getting bigger with this video. I think he game is still the best it CAN be. I'm sure my initial enthusiasm will lower this WE if I can play it more extensively, because I'm still blinded by the overwhelming presentation. But still.
Also the holes I made on the floor when on drugs.
I feel sorry for Groovemaster303 and the other musicians when they discover what most people will be hearing about their soundtrack is the sound of joypads each time I put them back to the table when switching. Well, it was for Science.
Also, that Gainax bounce. Very 90s indeed.
It took me forever, but I finally made it this far into the thread. Some quick thoughts...
Maybe it's just the way that it's been filmed so far, but the color tones remind me of certain versions of the Matrix movie or Metal Gear in that it seems to have a heavy greenish tint.
Gameplay looks something out of an early Beats of Rage or Burning Fight (Neo Geo) quality regarding animation and how hits connect. Weird hitboxes and physics.
Speaking of animation, it's weirdly inconsistent. Sometimes it's a lack of frames, other times it runs too fast, slow, etc. Because of this, some hits lack weight, gravity, or "ooomph."
Large characters look good and having than many on screen without obvious flickering, etc. is impressive.
Sound FX seem very low or non-existent.
Music sounds like it will be awesome.
The juggling guy is just one example of a character being way wayyyyyyyyy beyond just being inspired.
It definitely looks better than that garbage Coffee Crisis that made its own grandiose claims and cost just as much. (Cost analysis no longer applies after this batch though.)
A little more faith in the community would have likely created a far more polished game. In my experience at least, folks in this community are good about keeping confidential information quiet.
Overall, from first impressions through cell phone footage compressed to heck, this seems like it's on par with my expectations from an indie dev for an ancient console would be. Time will tell once I have it at home and can test for myself.
Again, I'm not knowledgeable enough, but don't many foes in some of the SoR games plainly disapear from on screen to hide themselves from the player? SoR 1 particularly feels like dancing with someone that doesn't want to, and reminds me of 8 bit games at times because of this, almost like if it was an old shmup-style moving pattern.
I didn't pay attention to Paprium's AI enough. Just reacting to the comments. I think it's a mistake to compare this to top tier and best ever beat'em ups. We are asking too much out of this game. I'm ignoring development time and hype/promises on this and just trying to form my opinion on the game itself and for itself. This just my mindset after playing and enjoying it much more than what I expected given what we have been through.
And also, maybe it is the right time to say it (but please keep on analyzing the footage; are those cram dots expected? etc), and I'm not sure we are realizing it enough: the game is here, it exists and it's out. Don't you feel a bit like when the Saturn's surprise launch? (Hope it doesn't backfire like that, but it could) Oh well, people were expecting the things, whereas with Paprium hope was lost for many people.
Some people knew months ago but couldn't talk or they talked and nobody believed them. Mere hours ago I still thought I was trolled with a cart that only booted an Atari 2600esque game. And now, I repeat, we have Paprium in our hands (well, soon enough, that is, for most of you).
I would honestly probably buy the game at that steep new price myself if I hadn't get it for $69 (58 euros, actually) shipped. Was it worth the wait? Of course not. Would I recommend buying to others? I honestly don't know. I know I would, because I frequent obscure retrogaming forums. This is my very personal advice as I don't have any particular interest in the game succeding or whatever: if you post in these forums, you'll regret not having the game. If you just lurk, probably too but are too shy to admit it.
Audio is taken from my camera which is far away (video is optically zoomed in so I could put the camera somewhere stable), also the sound comes mono from a crappy TV, I don't know if that accounts for something or not.
When I have more time I can hook it up to my stereo an even record directly from the headphone jack to PC, but by the time I get to do this, more tech savvy people will have the game in their hands, hopefully
I wouldn't, for the simple fact that the less people buy it the quicker Fonzie goes out of business.
Guy is silent for years and then goes all "SEE WHAT I HAS CREATED? THOSE WHO BELIEVED BELIEVES THOSE WHO DIDNT ARE THE TROLLS".
The retro game scene needs devoted caring devs who share progress, not this Paprium crap. everything Fonzie has created has been tarnished by his previous actions.
