Bone Marrow - a new Mega Drive game by PSCD Games
I am starting this new thread for Greengh0st of PSCD Games as he cannot start new thread here yet. He would like to say to you:
Hi everyone! I'm Greengh0st and together with our PSCD Games team we release ports of different games on Sega Genesis / Mega Drive. Here's our new port of Bone Marrow, a quite famous adaptation of 2048. The rules are simple: you need to slide numbered figures on a grid to combine them to create a figure with the number 2048.
*
Figures can be of three types: weapons, shields and food. Weapons give you an increase in attack, shields - in defense, and food replenishes health. An enemy appears on a grid during the day and you must kill him. For this you gain experience and with each new experience gained, your character's health increases.
*
The original game had a cool idea, but weak realization and poor balance; you simply cannot lose in it, only if you play with your eyes closed. Your character could collect figures when they filled the entire grid. So we decided to improve many gameplay features which you could read below.
*
In the original game, all the figures were static, so the first thing we wanted to do is to animate them in order to make the game livelier. Unfortunately, we couldn't animate the hero and enemies with weapons because weapons, shields and helmets didn't go very well with the character's animated sprite. Maybe we'll fix it in the future releases.
*
Also, in the PC version of the game, killing an enemy was easy as pie: you should be in line with him and simply move vertically or horizontally. It wasn't very addicting so we wrote a simple AI for enemies. The combat now is turn-based, where characters get their own individual turns. Now it isn't just standing in line and lazily killing, now you have to hunt for an enemy.
*
We also added enemies which you have to fight both day and night. This added variety to the gameplay, because at night enemies prevent players from collecting figures, as figures change their position with every move enemies make.
*
We have different status effects like poisoning, stunning, bleeding, frenzy. For example, a rat is very easy to kill, but if it bites you, you can be in a frenzy and lose control of your character for several turns. A snake could poison you and makes you lose health for some time.
*
We are planning to add many other features such as perks, different traps on a grid like falling floor, spikes and a pool of acid.
*
Don't forget that our game has PvP mode. And if we have enough motivation and skills, we'll make a battlefield for 4 players in a 2x2 mode.
*
If possible, we'll try to keep our users informed and up to date about development progress. You can also watch a preview video about the game.
