I had given up hope that I would ever receive the game or a refund, but my refund arrived in my Paypal account today.
Congrats!
I'm still a little worried my game will never arrive.
I'm excited! 12 Feb will be the one-year anniversary of my "shipping" date!
If it’s a means to an end and people who originally backed the game end up finally receiving their copies then shouldn’t we be pleased the Kickstarter has been a success? Already it seems some refunds have been issued to those who requested them so it does seem like Fonzie is trying to right his wrongs (although he would never admit he did wrong and just blame PayPal, Air France etc).
People wishing it didn’t hit its funding goal, especially those who have not yet received their copy or refund, seems to me a case of cutting your nose off to spite your face.
Are you saying that as someone who received the game and don't like it or received a broken game or as someone who bought and never received it?
I'm honestly curious as I've heard mostly good things and I came into knowing about Paprium not until 2020 and didn't get a copy either but am interested in playing it. I really don't want to pay the ridiculous eBay prices for a game I hear that could be busted and I'm not talking about the console incompatibilities but bad assembly.
Received it and didn't like it, the gameplay is extremely shallow. 95% of the game is about graphics and nothing else.
there's no gameplay depth, you just walk around and slap slap slap slap or jump kick if you get bored of slapping.
the throws look ridiculous and don't feel like throws, the punches sound like you're slapping cardboard and the AI is.. well there is no AI.
Very little time was spend on the actual gameplay, it becomes very obvious once you let go of the first excitement of the (impressive) graphical and musical presentation.
Ah, thanks, that's good to hear someone's honest perspective to temper my expectations and maybe not try to get a copy off eBay. I definitely didn't want to spend $600-1000 for it already since my preorder in 2021 fell thru but after hearing this even less-so. Sounds like 99% of the content creators and people commenting on Twitter were in shock and awe over the visuals and audio....that is besides the people focusing on the fudgery of Fonzi instead of the game itself.
Yeah don't buy it from ebay or Fonzie, both are a waste of money. maybe when it comes out on Steam you can wait for a discount and grab it with like 10% off (doubt he'd ever discount it more)
but even then its too expensive for what you get. most likely you'll eventually buy it and be amazed at the presentation and you'll feel all like "OMG THIS GUY WAS INSANE, THIS IS AWESOME THIS IS GREAT!"
but then you play it for an hour and your hand is tired because its doing the same slapslapslapslap over and over, and you start to realize that unlike SOR2 this game has no depth.
You're not gonna be studying tactics and upping that difficulty the better you get. You're just gonna be bored and put it back in the box and play another better game.
There's a reason Paprium discussions died down so quickly..
This would be the fourth(?) "means to an end" attempted by Fonzie.
Doesn't that mean those who keep sending him money are the ones cutting off their own noses?
Every time he does this and still gets money it tells him that he never has to fulfill the long lost orders.
I hear ya. I read the reviews, viewed some videos, and I have a feeling I will find it monotonous too. But I guess I still want something for the money. Maybe an updated version eventually? Sigh.
These are the little things for me that make a game great for me, as I'm sure many of us recognize. I have a problem with the throws in Streets of Rage 4. The way the character flies across the screen weightless is off-putting, while Streets of Rage 2 REALLY did it right and you can sense the weight. I don't know how they did it but it works. I even submitted a comment to the SOR4 developers but got no reply.Quote:

I guess I still want something for the money, as well. Check this out, I emailed this question to the MGF back on August 6, 2021:
Shipping History: 12/02/2021 - 23:47 - Las Vegas USA - Shipping...
I haven't received my Investor's copy of Paprium. Is there any update of when it might be shipped to me? Next month? 3 months? 6 months? Near the end of 2021?
I actually got an answer back 6+ months later on February 17, 2022:
"Sorry for our delayed response. Order deliveries will come back, you will get up dated. Have a nice day. Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any other concerns.
Best Regards, paul_wm"
That's pretty, pretty vague. Thoughts?
Well, today is my 10th year anniversary of pre-ordering Paprium and still not receiving it. I wanted to celebrate this day with all of you here at Sega-16. When I reminded my wife this morning about Paprium, which I have from time to time over the years, her one word response was simply this, "Loser!".
And with that, please commence with the appropriate gatherings and festivities, on this solemn day.
Congratulations on meeting this milestone, in what could possibly be the longest preorder fulfillment ever. Here's to your next ten years spent in this thread being equally Paprium free 🎉🎉🎉
Seriously though, you think with the funds raised through the Kickstarter, Fonzie's first point of business would be to finish shipping the orders from ten years ago.
With $895,569 pledged for the Kickstarter, there is absolutely zero excuse for the original Investors to still be waiting for their copies. How hard can it be for Fonzie or whoever at WM to look at the word doc or excel spreadsheet or handwritten pieces of paper, with the names and addresses of the original Investors, write them down on shipping packages and take them to the La Poste and MAIL THE DAMN GAMES OUT!!!!! Supposedly WM has USA facilities as well. Again, all someone at WM USA has to do is take the packages to the USPS and MAIL THE DAMN GAMES OUT!!!!!
No amount of money buys the parts needed to make the cartridges right now, maybe by end of summer there will be chips to buy but definitely not sooner.
Wait a minute. How the...? Never mind.

Investor copies exist. The ones that were not mailed out should exist and be located somewhere. Maybe Fonzie is using them, to hold up one side of his coffee table, while he is playing Coffee Crisis alone. No parts needed for these copies.
The right thing to do is to use a very small percentage of that Kickstarter AND MAIL THE REMAINING INVESTOR COPIES OUT!
I received an email stating it is being shipped again.
Without a tracking number, I think. . . no? Did you get a tracking number?
Funny how some people get some emails and others get others. I haven’t heard a peep.
Its been twelve days since I was notified that Paprium had shipped. No way it takes 12 days to go from Las Vegas to the main USPS Phoenix hub in Arizona. This is isn't looking good 😬
I got my stuff the end ofnthe first round. I got a shipping from Las Vegas update and nothing shipped for 4ish months. I think they probably allocate what they will have and print shipping labels then fulfilled when the parts get there. That is my best guess from my 3pl experience, but who knows. If you don't have an actual tracking number I wouldn't get excited anytime soon. Some people last time got actual tracking numbers. Mine never said anything but shipping from Las vegas.

Surely people aren't falling for the WATA crap?
It "shipped" on April 2nd:
Shipping History:
12/02/2021 - 23:47 - Las Vegas USA -*Shipping...
02/04/2022 - 08:57 - Las Vegas USA -*Shipping...
Parcel content:
PAPRIUM INVESTOR(U)*[PRE-PAID]*USD$50 x 1 ¹
¹: Past pre-order(s).
I wonder if its coming from France and going to Las Vegas?
Or its still holding up Fonzie's coffee table, lol
Maybe I should start a thread with a poll?
Still nothing here too. Sigh.
It's been a while since I jumped in this conversation. I did get a message from Kickstarter (late last night or early this morning) that production is stopped at this time. Here's a copy/paste of the email:

For backers only
Hello Everyone, Thanks for your patience. Here is a (raw) video about what is going-on.
For those who don't have time to watch or get into details (or bother listening to the big boss who keeps talking and talking forever), a quick summary:
We have suspended all manufacturing due to worldwide shortage/pandemic. We could not move to our new warehouse/factory.
We will keep working on the games and improving until situation is resolved, it could take several months. Lot of great progress and awesome secrets in the making.
We are still have receiving some Kickstarter surveys time to time but since we've got some extra time, we will migrate all to our database later.
Regarding the past orders with delivery issues (lost parcels, wrong game, etc), we have re-organized things and they should dispatch shortly.
A bit of a bummer but lets keep positive. Thank you for your patience, a much better video with some insights will be made in couple of weeks, it's still big rush around.
I fall into the (etc) category, where my Investor's copy says it shipped, but it never did. Now, as in earlier this month, it shows it shipped again as a Past Pre-order.
So my theory has proven to be correct. Whether my copy and others were holding up Fonzie's coffee table or otherwise, they exist and are being shipped (supposedly).
I truly feel bad for those who supported the Paprium Kickstarter. Watch people get both Astebros & The Cursed Knight, games also coming from France, and then still get messages from WM saying they can't ship Paprium.
