Definitely when DST changes here in the States (late November). For me, the climax of Christmas is actually Christmas Eve, so my spirit actually dies on Christmas morning.
It's a slow process starting on first advent, advancing with Lucia the 13th and going to climax as we get the presents on the 24th. Then it cools down with the new year's eve and even more until it dies completely the thirteenth Yule day.
Maybe around the 22nd of December or so. In Germany, the 24th is when you get the presents, so that kind of marks the highlight. After that there are 3 days of visiting relatives and getting less interesting presents and you get bored.
When I start seeing snow falling in the background and begin hearing sleigh bells while playing my copy of Christmas Nights.
When my wife makes ginger bread and Saffron buns.
As a kid, usually as soon as the last turkey leg has been consumed.
Lately, a bit less innocent and whatnot, not til a few days before. Hell, it's the 13th and I don't feel Christmassy yet one iota.
Maybe a tiny bit in the evening on the 24th and then all day the 25th. Then it's all over for me. i.e., it begins when I get off work the day before and ends as soon as I go back.
Ever since they started this BS with selling Christmas stuff before Halloween here, I just have a hard time getting excited at all until it's actually going on.
I work on Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Years, and everyother concievable holiday on earth. I get Christmassy when I get to see a naked red head on the bed with a santa hat on! HO hO hO!

Maybe Sonic and knuckles if they can settle their differences and unite for the common good.
