Absolutely. I play SOR1 mostly to listen to the music anyway.

I downloaded both soundtracks from Sega Xtreme. Yay!

SOR1 has the best soundtrack, SOR3 has the best gameplay, and SOR2 is the best all-around package.

All 3 were great but SoR2 was my favorite

In my opinion it's Streets of Rage 2 like what has been said it's the best all around. Great improvement over the first.

My favorite is the first one, partly because of Nostalgic value.

The second one is graphically and sound-wise superiour. The third... ...is okay. I think something happened to the gameplay, to be honest.

I think I prefer SORIII myself. It has a better feel then the other two. You can run, and it's the only game to make use of the 6-button controller (yeah yeah, I know, because the other two were released before that controller) giving you more moves than ever before. That last part sounded like Sega PR.

I think majority opinion would be with SOR3 if it was uncensored like Bare Knuckle 3.

I think 3 feels quite a bit better than 2. I'm just a whore for the tap-tap run feature though.

I'd forgotten how much Streets 3 goes for now. On eBay it's up to $30.00 loose, and the UK version is up to $72.00. I got my copy complete for about $30.00 in the summer of 96 -- it's always too bad when you can't see into the future as far as specific price markups.

And to think I got mine for $6 at SwapUSA...

I got my copy of SoR3 from EB for $7, complete and in perfect condition. And that was just earlier this year.

Have you guys played any of the BoR mods? Right now I'm enjoying Hatchet Ninjaz and the story/dialog is pretty hilarious, plus I really dig the music. Hopefully Open BoR will allow someone to create a BoR mod that'll allow more moves to the characters because you don't know how hard a Street Fighter 2 beat-em-up would rock with each character's full move set. It'd be like what Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) did for action gaming, bring fighting game complexity and precision to a genre suffocating on me-too-ism. :D

got mine for 4,50 Euro, how much that is in dollars don’t know, I got Bare knuckle 3 for 10 euro. Yes i do like the run feature as well and is much quicker but the background seem to lack some detail or something it does irritate when you realize you’re looking at a game that came out in 1994,some levels look good while others many others are un inspiring BTW the Train station is as worse as Superman 64 man do i hate that stage and its music and the level where you have to fight against robot axel also uninspiring, this game isn’t that great, the 2nd was better and did good for its time although the Running thing missing is a bit sore but not that bad, only it is a bit of a strange example used in the genesis does movie of blast processing, Final fight 3 is faster.
