"A fool and his money are soon parted.."
I didn't need ebay to know people are retarded. I take the bus to work and have discovered this fact first hand. Why do old people move so slowly and get in my way? They have less time to live so you think they'd hurry up - gits.
Gotta love those 'SNES' games
Except for the stupid offers on the Chrono Trigger auction, I don't see what makes people retarded here. But Wonder Boy played the ocarina first.
People paid something like two grand for Justin Timberlake's half eaten waffles on ebay {saw on t.v., so it is beyond all doubt true}, so a couple hundred bucks on SNES games is no shocker. People with tons of money to burn will always find new ways to do so.
There are literally dozens of copies of SNES chrono trigger on Half.com, the complete boxed ones go for like 100 bucks (which is more reasonable). I seriously think this dude is bidding on his own auction to raise the price, what dumb fuck would pay that much for a video game that they could get in the exact same condition on Half?
People have been dumbening for years now, and will only get dumber. Fact.
RE old bugg.. people:

It takes you half an hour just to buy a loaf of bread."

I highly doubt the guy who runs digitpress is going to do dodgy bids on his own auction. Sealed Snes games go for a LOT of money, especially the RPG's. What price the same game fetches loose or unsealed can have little relation to its sealed value. Sealed games is very much more of a nintendo collectors thing, mainly due to the games being housed in cheap card boxes which are damaged so easily.Quote:

$1000 bucks for a sealed Chrono Trigger?!?! That one is definitely retarded, and there is still 5 days left on the auction.
I also thought it was funny how the seller on the third auction is too lazy to test, list his games, or even take a decent enough quality picture to tell what he was even selling, even when asked by sellers, yet the thing still goes for 150.
What about this one:

:daze: Anyone?
More lameness. I just don't get it. I would love to have it that but at almost $2000 I think I would rather put a turbocharger car and that would still be a unjustifiably stupid purchase. I think we need more links. These make me laugh. Lets all make him offers of $5 and ask annoying questions.
His other auction

Why not collect art? Obviously whoever bough that Chrono Trigger isn't going to play it, so why even bother with videogames?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MY IQ ITS DROOOooooooo......... DUH! fire make me hurt
Primal Rage arcade cabs come up cheaper than that.Quote:

Here's what someone trying to sell on the e-of-the-bay:

Ehh I was actually looking at that one. Its really not dumb, pay 45 for everything minus the game, then pay 30 bucks or whatever once a disc only auction makes it to ebay, and you have a complete copy for about 80 bucks. Not bad considering Snatcher goes for over $150 now.Quote:

Most of the Saturn games even came in decent condition cases with only minor breakage. I calculated that the whole setup was worth over $500 if I turned around and sold it.
To boot, he packed most of the stuff into a mint condition N64 box which will probably be worth something someday.
What Saturn games did you get?
N64 box? That brings back memories of myself and the owner of the game store I worked at setting an N64 box on fire just to spite this annoying regular customer. He always bugged us for free shit and was trying hard to do the whole "collector" thing.
And speaking of retarded:
Me and the other guy working told this kid that we had a Canadian SNES (difference being that some of the text on the labels was also in French) dumbass wanted to trade his SNES for the Canadian system because he thought it was more "rare".
I did get him back for all the pestering he did, I told him and his friends that "Sword of Sodan" was an awesome game and they ended up buying it.
For the Saturn, I didn't get anything great (well, great for $25, but...). Heres the list;Quote:

Hey, wow... thats actually 14 games isn't it? Pre-calc done good fer me.
And the Saturn is, I believe, a model 1 cuz it has oval buttons and a disk light, if that means anything.
Anyways, the Saturn part was kinda irrelevant as he only threw it in to "sweeten the pot." I'm not joking. The original deal was $20 for the SNES and games alone, and he thought he was ripping me off so he threw in the Saturn. The other 5 bucks I gave him out of pity. It was my way of making good with Karma I guess.
On the SNES side, I got the best of the Mario, Zelda, Mega Man, TMNT, and Donkey Kong franchises with the games he included. Mostly kid stuff, but fun nonetheless. My younger sisters generally play this more than I do, but I pop in Mario Kart from time to time.
So even though the Saturn titles were far from dazzling, I don't think deals get much more retarded and one sided as that. Luckily I was smart enough to keep my mouth shut until after all was said and done, despite the burning urge to brag to the heavens. I mean, $25 is less than he would have gotten from a retail store for all the gear he had! By todays standards, he basically traded 34 games for enough to buy 1/3 of new game. And the best part was that my friend thought he won! For this reason, I remain friends with the guy just in case he decides to "rip me off" again, though I think he's wised up at least a little.
I bought a Snes back in 94 for $20 off a friend who had found a more addictive and expensive habit.
I just found this one. Im surprised it is only at $92 with a day left on it as I write this. Im sure it will go up.

There are some cool sellers on eBay, though. I just recieved Game & Watch Gallery 2 for GBC; it would boot, but once you chose a G&W game to play, it would freeze. So I contacted the guy, and he refunded my money plus what it would've cost to ship it back to him, but he let me keep the game anyway. I ended up making $1.31, and it was no skin off my bones.
Hey is sonic 3D blast any good for saturn, and is it any better than the genesis version?
They're about the same except that the Saturn version has more colors and true 3d bonus stages. Why d'you ask?
The soundtrack is excellent, but besides the enhanced graphics (New intro! Rusty Ruin has fog effects! New special stage!) it's the same game.Quote:

No shortages of these.

"Smooth Criminal" is still one of the best songs ever.
Not as good as Beat It, Billie Jean, or Thriller, though.
I almost bought MJ's Moonwalker at a thrift store about a month ago going for $2, but it was cart only. It was gone the next week I came back. No big deal.
Yet they're climing in price....Quote:

I know it has a scarcity of 6 according to Digital Press, but $100?? Give me a break!!

At least it's a sale price, not raised ridiculously high by dumb eBidders.
Have you seen the movie "Moonwalker"?Quote:
