I just got my new-to-me Matrox Mystique 8MB PCI graphics card in for my new-to-me 90s Game Box. Yay! (I hope).
Your Mexican food is one of the reasons we're so fat. Also I've heard from a reputable source that our tacos aren't really tacos, but some other kind of food entirely. Whatever, it's still nomlicious.

Despite the 6.5% stock market rally over the last three months, a handful of billionaires are quietly dumping their American stocks . . . and fast.
Warren Buffett, who has been a cheerleader for U.S. stocks for quite some time, is dumping shares at an alarming rate. He recently complained of “disappointing performance” in dyed-in-the-wool American companies like Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, and Kraft Foods.
In the latest filing for Buffett’s holding company Berkshire Hathaway, Buffett has been drastically reducing his exposure to stocks that depend on consumer purchasing habits. Berkshire sold roughly 19 million shares of Johnson & Johnson, and reduced his overall stake in “consumer product stocks” by 21%. Berkshire Hathaway also sold its entire stake in California-based computer parts supplier Intel.
With 70% of the U.S. economy dependent on consumer spending, Buffett’s apparent lack of faith in these companies’ future prospects is worrisome.
Unfortunately Buffett isn’t alone...."

I feel the same way! Oh my gosh. ;)
Nah, The USoA's financial demise has been predicted for a long time. Beginning with the baby boomer's retirement and ending with Chindia's domination of the world economy. Technology can't compensate for population disparity forever.
I need someone that knows how to make animated gifs smaller. :/
We're probably going to be Russia in another decade. I'm not a socialist or anything like that, but I think money has killed this country. Plus people are just fucking dumb these days. I hate to say it, but there just isn't any getting around it. I think everyone will be OK though as long as they've still got TV to watch.
edit: on the upside all the money people will go to china an ruin that country next.
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
Yup, and Chinese companies might eventually find workers cheaper over here and the cycle continues. But you're right about the TV and people being dumb, I don't know if people around here would do well without all of their freaking electronics though. The last time the power went out for a full day adults and kids looked totally lost and confused.
I personally think I'm prepared since I have never bought a car newer than 8 years old and always paid with cash and live in a house I can afford on a single person's income. I've gotten more than extravagant with my game consoles and game collecting though.
