Facebook pisses me off too, hell, all forms of social media do. They're trying to push Youtube to be more like it every day, and it's getting real annoying. If I knew of a site I could just upload my vids, I'd be gone in a jiffy.Quote:

That's the problem, because of business hogging "social" websites and companies you don't know that it costs less than $50 a year to have your own website that you can post whatever you want to. You and a group of friends could start a real social group and change it to suit your needs in less than a week's time guaranteed.
Nobody does this though, because they think their best option is to go with what everybody else is already logged in to. They think this only because of marketing.
Time and money are the two factors why I use Youtube; I have very little of either. Even if I did, I don't have the skill to make a site.Quote:

It takes me or the average experienced web page user less than an hour to get a fully functional website online. Most shared hosts will do it for you now and install wordpress or drupal or something else for you. From there getting a fully functioning video player working might be a little bit of a learning curve, but the payoff is flexibility in compression and maintaining control of your files. I only use Youtube because people around here won't click on a link but will click on a play button in an imbedded video. ;)

There is a regular member here whom I truly cannot abide. I generally try to ignore him, but I always end up reading one of his smug little posts by accident and getting annoyed all over again.
Goddamn Veehd cut me off half way through a movie. Now I gotta let it stream (slowly) back to the point I was at.
It is really simple even if you don't want to learn the initial setup. I'm not sure if an independent website can draw enough traffic to justify a store page though. Without full time effort advertising the site and what you have available ebay is always going to be the place to go. And I'm irritated again.Quote:
