Alan Arkin won, and Little Miss Sunshine won best screenplay. This was a bit of a suprise year, but it was still awesome! Scorsese winning director AND picture, Ellen being a watchable host, and even the Ferrel, Jack Black, John C.Reilly musical number.
And those dancers behind the screen did some amazing crap too.
Oh yeah, and Sienfields back!
I'm surprised Scorsese won an Oscar for a remake.

Up until about a year ago my GF wasn't aware that Jack Nicholson and Christian Slater talked the same.
She also now says "Whoa. I know kung fu." every time she sees Keanu Reeves in anything...something she picked up from me. :D
