When my current LCD TV fails, no doubt sooner than either of my ten+ year old CRTs, I am going to be seriously hard pressed to buy a new set for the input limitations alone.

Has nothing to do with age, I bought my tv about 1.5 years before my parents did and mine did not have a VGA port while theirs did.
looking back I should have just looked better, but for some reason the tv's with more HDMI ports and vga were a lot more expensive.
so you get what you pay for I guess.
Personally I just bought a VGA to HDMI convertor, which worked nicely enough but can cost quite a bit.
I take it you wanted to output your laptop video to the tv? your laptop doesn't happen to have HDMI output or something?
At first I thought that must have been some kind of cheap-O comic villain from Malibu or someone, but no, it's DC!
*Sigh* sell an unwanted Google Play gift card on ebay, have some 4 total transactions wanker screw with me over ebay's messenger system about it not working for hours. Ebay had better pull through for me on this one.
Well, I will put that to the test, but yeah this jerk hasn't even filed a dispute with ebay, he went straight to paypal instead. On ebay's message system he sent me blurry pictures of two different Google Play accounts in an attempt to get me to refund his money without a dispute. I honestly don't care if the turd gives me my first bad rating at this point, I want to see if ebay/paypal is smart enough to see a con when it is this well documented.
In self-flattering honor of my 2000th post on SEGA-16, I think we should take a glimpse into the future... in the year 2000...
