^ I have come to the conclusion that Timothy Dalton was an excellent Bond; He really brought out a certain dramatic and almost ruthless side to the character. It's a real shame he couldn't get just one more movie in during his tenure.
Brosnan on the other hand, while I like him as an actor and his look for Bond - all of his movies feel so forgettable and have aged so poorly! I find zero replay value in them with the exception of Goldeneye, what in the hell happened? The directorial direction seems so plagued with poor script writing, cheesy 3D special effects, over kill of machine guns, and awful, AWFUL Bond girls. Poor Brosnan never had a chance.
Yeah, i definitely agree with you guys about Dalton.
As for Brosnan, i like him as an actor and i enjoyed Goldeneye, but sadly they gave him a bunch of crappy writers. Daniel Craig, besides being a good actor and bringing a more gritty and human Bond to the table ( which i think it's great ) , had the luck of having great writers for his 007 movies. Heck, they even got a top actor as Javier Bardem to be a villian in Skyfall, one of the best movies that i've watched recently and one of the best Bond movies IMO.
