Why is that? I can see how Mega Man X2 for example has left less of an impact, wasn't as original and had some forgettable music, but a lot of the game's design is just as good if not better. Bosses are all pretty fun to fight, the levels are a lot less restrictive and more explorative, there are power-ups that actually mean a damn (I mean, that helmet thing in MMX, was that really such a cool upgrade?), there was the cool concept of reconstructing Zero by fighting mini bosses and it has some great and demanding platforming that at times makes usage of the weapons you have obtained. As much as I love MMX and have the warmest feelings towards it, Mega Man X2 has a lot of fun to offer once it grows on you.

This soundtrack is awesome, yeah. So many great songs, though I wish the instrument samples were better. They are... plain bad at times. MMX definitely has the better music.

A blank screen is no fun, though, and so I'm guessing loading screens must have served a "valuable purpose" giving the player (was the word “gamer” used much back then?) something to look at during the interminable wait for the bloody thing to start. :lol:

Yeah, this was the first time I got such a call from them regarding my computer, usually it's one asking if I've been in a car accident recently, or more annoyingly, automated messages two times a day trying to sell me PPI. Thankfully those seemed to have stopped for now.

We have do not call list here in the US but a lot of companies just seem to ignore it and all sorts of other companies can still call for surveys and political campaigns can still call as I get lots of those especially during elections. I just tell them all I'm not interested and hang up.

We also get lots of people calling off shores that somehow get a US number to show up so they can get away with it. Damn annoying.

'Batman' who visited children in hospitals killed when car hits Batmobile
