Had to step out once more because I forgot a specific type of cat food I like give as a snack at the local pet store (otherwise he would drive me crazy. It's those BFF pouches if anyone is wondering), and man is it getting cold out there here in downtown Toronto Canada as the night is setting in (5pm). First time I thought about finding where my scarf is. While treading on a treadmill earlier today, I seen on TV the weather forecast that things are about to get ugly tonight and this weekend.

Sorry guys, if I don't cite you on your response to my fiber post. I gotta say I'm not only stoked about the fact that I no longer have to deal with Comcast; who has monopolized the service with a totalitarian system of fees upon fees. I'm also stoked about 1000 MB/s on, both, upload and download speeds from the new fiber service of the other provider. Why is 75 MB/s not good enough? Because it means as of right now (and consistently since I got it) at the very best 35.3 download and 11.5 upload. It is not guaranteed that I'll be getting 1000MB/s with any fiber service (as it is with any), but it'll be the same up and down either way; and it'll be a shit ton more than just 35.3 (btw. this is the best it has been in over 3 years).

And, no, there is no way that 3 (or 2) MB/s is good enough for today's streaming and/or video game downloads. It is shitty enough at "75 MB/s" (not the real deal as it is ). I've even tried those 3 MB/s myself via another service provider. No way.

Well, at least it's consistent. The temperature out here can go from -4F to 27F within two days and then go back down, my blood pressure is making me nuts due to all the weather changes.

More than enough really to download a brand new game, or stream high quality content.

You can have better like 200Mb/s fibre, but I live in an area where I can't have it.

Nearly same here. Speedtest shows me 90/15 with this new, all Cat-6 network setup I worked on the past few weeks. In theory, it can handle Gigabit connections, but I have not tested internal speed though. Next step is to make a Cat6 patch cable, my computer still uses its 50 foot Cat5e cable... for a 3 foot connection. Overkill? Yes.

^ Ran into someone names SixtyMegs. Made me wonder if he could of been a Sega-16'er. During that snapshot the host left and we were about to go through host migration (that's why that one Collector Trooper is walking in the air). Sadly SixtyMegs didn't stick around for continuing game after host migration.
