I'm honestly annoyed by games that take too long to complete. I tend to play games repeatedly, which I am less inclined to do if it's too great of an investment of time. 8-20 hours is perfect.
Yes, shorter and higher replay value is better.

If you were legally allowed to prescribe drugs, one would think that you were productive, educated and employed in the medical field, contributing to society.

Would going back to school to learn how to drill and pull rotten teeth for the rest of my life make me feel more educated and less guilty about playing video games?
I knew a doc once who all he did was write scripts all day (really good guy, made everyone's scripts just right :D). Died in his 40s. Wasn't educated enough on good health.

Yeah, you're right, dedicating multiple hundreds of hours to the one game you love the most is your prerogative. And your situation is no business of mine, or anyone else but yours.
Don't get me wrong, though. I'm going to enjoy games like those in the Dark Souls series and the like. All in due time. Right now my backlog is full of other games I want to play first, though. And time is of the essence. I bought them for a reason, so I know I'll get around to them one day. I'm mostly stoked about Bloodborne and DSIII, though.
