Brevity aside, does anyone actually know why Cuban cigars are still illegal?
It seems like I'm the only constant source of negativity around here, but... I don't where else to express such problems. My grandmother just passed away, out of the blue. She was stable as ever yesterday, and now gone. She turned 92 a few months back, I believe. She was a big part of my life growing up. In a way, she helped to raise me. So many memories. I just found this out, and I'm still in a state of not actually believing that it's real. :(
I'm sorry for your loss, WarmSignal. I felt the same way towards my grandad, who I lost back in 2009. He was more of a dad to me than my actual dad was. You'll always have the great memories to look back on with fondness.
Oh and good luck, Yharnamresident. I hope you find what you're looking for and I hope to see you back here again soon. :)
The US embargo is still on against the communist country. It's not illegal to own them. U can bring them from virtually any other country, including the great land of Canadia. There is a limit to how much you can bring; but not illegal. Just the sale and purchase of products in US soil. Can't order online either. Whenever I travel abroad, not Cuba (never going back there), I make sure I bring back some good Cuban rum and a cigar box if I can.
BTW, Seleccion de Maestros Havana Club is the shiznitz.
Well, I'm sorry to hear that Warm. My worst fear is losing my mom and she is up there in years.

I thought I was bummed because my gaming laptop of 6 years is on the fritz. Loved this thing. When the next CC statement comes out, replacing it with a new one. Any computer will destroy the CC financially but fuck it. Found one for $1000 with 16GB of DDR4 ram, Core i7, and a GTX 1060 6GB. The drawback is 256GB of SSD only comes with it but I can add a regular HDD on top of that and I guess I will take out the secondary 1TB I have on this and put it on that. Only has data and nothing installed so I guess should be fine. Always moved my data but never an HDD from old to new funny enough. Never had to.
My very limited (and probably quite tainted) understanding is that the US had a major hard-on for Cuba back in the day, to the point where we were willing to bomb ourselves in Cuba’s name as a means to justify going to war (allegedly). I figured the cigar ban was just some lingering sour grapes (“If we can’t bomb you then we won’t buy your stuff!!!”).
Maybe it is, I dunno. I have no idea what the US relationship with Cuba is like these days.
That's pretty much it in a nutshell.
What’s it mean when a Sega Saturn has a little bit of noise in the video when booting a game, like the noise appears when the drive reads
Prob noise interference from all the cables connected around it and your TV.
The period between the first Hulkamania era and the Attitude Era was odd. The only highlight was the debut of Monday Night Raw. Supposedly the years between both was the PG Era and it felt like the bookers and writers took a handful of hallucinogens and said the hell with it. It was a bad transition period and I must admit this was the time when WCW and ECW were much better products than anything the WWF offered. When the Attitude Era was born the story was different.
Then Ruthless Aggression era felt like straight to home video sequel to AE trying way too hard. Vince vs God. Katie Vick. Reign of Terror. Live sex (Lita had a nip slip). Luke Gallows as Imposter Kane. Hasan Terrorist angle. DDP stalker angle. Maven winning Royal Rumble. Can go on forever. Worst angles WWE ever had was the RA era. Well at least we got Booker vs Austin in the supermarket. SD was good because Heyman ran it for 1 year.
I'm amazed SNES v Genesis fanboyism, or fanboyism of old consoles in general, is still a thing. Like really? Can these idiots not grow up and just appreciate the games? Jesus fuck.
Agreed. I ould add console bashing is dumb. Criticism is fine. Like I have always liked the Xbox brand but I don't feel the XBO library is strong enough for me to buy one. In fact, if all goes well I am getting a midrange gaming laptop soon and be just as powerful as the X. So I will have even less reason to buy one despite I prefer physical. I hope their next system is as good as 360. But the that console sucks or still after almost 30 years still debating specs of machines with less computing power than the ICD implanted in my chest is silly.
