Win10 is fine to me. I liked XP and WIn 7. Never had Vista or Win8.

Get an extension for your browser that allows you to black out the background, then change it to whatever colour you want. I'm using "Dark Background & Light Text" for Seamonkey, but there's similar ones for Chrome, Firefox and Edge.
