It's a great list of some basic films you need to see if you want to consider your self a real movie fan of any kind, but I don't give much merit to the number themselves.

I think I have seen almost all of those movies. I don't think any are bad. Many of the positions are quite arguable. Some are not though. Toy Story 3 is 13 and Wall-e is almost as good as Amelie?! I don't get it .

I don't even really consider them on the list until a couple years after release. That usually is good time for a film to "cool off" and either find a good spot on the list or fall off of it entirely.

And Wall-E is not better than Amelie.

I always thought Natalie Portman should have went back and reprised that role as the little girl, grown up, and following in Leon's footsteps as the new "professional". I think it would have been a cool followup to a kickass movie.
