Went to a really ghetto flea market today. The only gaming stuff I saw was this huge reseller who wanted $90 for an NES top loader with an original NES controller.
luckily i managed to get mine a lot less than that :D
LOL, I sold mine on amazon for $90! He shouldn't be selling that high in first place. Because flea market is a place for great stuff at really low prices! However many flea market seen to be breaking that rule now.
He should sell it on online instead if he really want to get it for $90 in first place.
EDIT: He should sell it less than between $25 - $50 instead.
Well... I don't know, actually. The system is rare, I suppose, and the "dogbone" controller is certainly part of the system's appeal. The guys on Game Chasers seemed pretty pleased with themselves when they haggled a seller at a flea market down to a price that I still thought was ridiculous. I'd like to have one, but I wouldn't want to pay much more than $25 for it.
good luck finding one for 25 or less. all the front loaders i see go for $25 & up, i got my Top Loader from here on the forums a few years ago for about $50 and that includes shipping and considered that a good price since I'd seen them going for $75 & up plus shipping in a bunch of other places.
I've been seeing some pics of the USB Saturn and Neo-Geo/Neo-Geo CD controllers.
I so fucking want those. They're gorgeous, especially the Neo-Geo ones.

^Are those for the PS2? They would work awesomely with my copy SNK Anthology Vol 1.
I went to a flea market today also. Nothing really worth a shit. I got PS2 games Tower of Druaga (still in shrink wrap), King's Field the ancient city, and a GC game Starfox Adventures all for $15. It was nice looking around dude's shop at first, but then all these people and kids started showing up and the place started to stink (literally). So I left.
I just don't like going to a flea market and not getting a good deal on something. This guy had a good selection of games and systems, so I'm sure if I'd looked around a bit I would have found something that I have been looking for. But you go to flea markets for hidden treasures at yard sale prices, not to buy stuff at eBay+ rates. Fuck that guy.
They've been doing that the past few years over here; I used to grab a few deals here and there at charity shops (thrift store to you guys), but they've since "wised up" and are now going by Ebay prices.
I remember seeing Snatcher, in mint condition in one shop and thinking "Holy Shit!", getting my wallet out and then noticing it was going for £70; didn't have that much on me and even if I did, it was the same as it is online. (Though, tbh, I did go back a few days later to see if I could buy it, but it was gone).
It's a good thing I have a back up plan when I go to flea markets...
The plan is, once I already look at all video games there and can't find what I want. After that, I choose to look for comic books (it's almost freakin anywhere) and TMNT toys (they always have it) instead so my day at flea market won't be badly wasted while I walk away with small stack of cool (non-superhero) comic books.
You should try a plan to look for something else other than video games at flea market if you failed to find any video games at good deal. Trust me, it's works.
