Usually when I go to yard sales/flea markets, I look for old records, vintage electronics, etc. It's somewhat rare to find video games at yard sales in my area, although I did find an SNES at a yard sale about six years ago. It had a huge chunk of plastic taken out of it, and the controller looked like a dog chewed on it. When I asked if it worked, the man said "That hole's been in it for as long as I can remember, and my son played it like that just fine." He then told me I could have it for free, so I took it. I already have three other SNES's in much better condition.
Also, I once found a fairly high quality cassette recorder, which supports metal type IV tapes for $1.
Sadly, no. It's for PS3 and PC. There was however a version of it for PS2 that from what I know came with the limited edition of The King of Fighters '94 ReBout, which was only released in Japan. The same company also makes PS2, PS3/PC and Wii compatible versions of the old huge Neo-Geo joystick.
Here's the one with the huge sticks: http://neogeo.exar.jp/
Has anyone actually played Fester's Quest? I know AVGN hated it, but I can't shake the feeling that it's a good game with a lot of annoying quirks. Kind of like the first TMNT NES game.
I used to play it on my NES during my middle school days, it was okay game, heck I thought it was cool back than. But I did play it again years later (after I got out of high school) while I was testing few extra copies (it was included in one of theses whole set sale) to see if they need any cleaning at all before selling. It wasn't that great as I thought it turn out to be back than.
It really didn't age that well, it's kind of filled with many annoying quirks (it really takes LLLOOONNG time to kill theses little pesky things), but many times more annoying than first TMNT game (I played this game too). Yes I did watch AVGN video of it, he did get his point right. But I'm not saying that it's bad game, there are much more worst games out there in the wild that I find those days.
In the end, it's a okay game that falls in whatever you love it or hate lot. I would highly recommend playing Gremlins 2 instead, a much better game.
Oh and one more thing, Fester's Quest is a rip off of Blaster Master.

My GameBoy collection has grown substantially over the past half-year. I've been cataloging my progress in a ledger as I've purchased games and sold dupes on Ebay. I've also been keeping separate lists on my phone, so I can keep track of the games I started out with originally as well as the games on my "want" list. Unfortunately, my phone recently ate those lists.
...Hm?
Oh, you sent me a PM. Hold on, let me finish this post.
I've spent the last hour making a list of every game in my possession as well as every game that I've sold through eBay. Turned out to be over 200 games. Now, as soon as I finish this cigarette, I'll be going back and crossing off every game that I've purchased. The remaining dozen-or-so games will be the titles I started out with last summer.
So after 2 hours and nearly 60 songs on iTunes, I've finally figured out the 15 games I owned before the serious collection began. Since August of last year I've increased that number tenfold (and I've been keeping track of what I've paid for each game, too - it's slightly wince-worthy).
