I've finished Sonic Unleashed (see A Winner Is You thread!), now it's onto Sonic and the Black Knight.
First impressions: after getting to the second King Arthur fight in one hour, I'm beginning to think that this isn't really my cup of tea. The controls are still awkward as hell, but I'm still glad the scheme was changed from the previous game. Wii controls do not work for Sonic games!
Second: utterly unmemorable soundtrack. From what I've heard so far, we've got Crush 40 generi-rock, with 'hey throw in a jaunty flute and a strings blast here and there' medieval-y stuff thrown in occasionally. I loved the mad sitar & strings sounds of the previous game, and the contrasts between the Night and Day themes from Unleashed. I suppose it needs a second playthrough later on so I can have a good listen, once I've stopped cursing the fucking Wii Remote.
Third: did I mention the controls are awful?
I'm going to finish the game, of course. The Dragon Slayer level is killing me, though, and for all the wrong reasons :frowny face:
