General Game Comment Thread. What are YOU Playing Today?

Today I was mostly playing MS games, off the MD 16 in 1 cartridge - especially Astro Flash, but especially Satellite 7. I can't help it - that game has interminably catchy music. Some days I wake up and it's there in my head. It won't go away. It... won't go away... *sobs*

Another observation: Machine Gun (think that's what it was called... :/) and My Hero both have unexplained piggies, which I found most amusing after too much coffee and too little sleep.

Finally, on a related note: when someone is playing Bleach DS using the character who summons the stampeding pig, it can really annoy them if you lean across and repeatedly tap the "call the stampeding pig" special move. Heh heh :)

Just playing Kid Chameleon for the 10th time today, died again, but getting further and further each time.

Also making progress in Alien Trilogy on the Saturn...

Thanks to the re-ignition of the 3DO thread I've also been playing some Phoenix 3 on the 3DO...

I'm playing this fun game called "reading all my crap poetry from high school and throwing it away"

It's great therapy.

Today, I finished up Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Its a great movie game. I like it alot.

Then I started KOTOR.

I've been expressing myself with mario paint!

Sega-16 has inspired me to play SuperMan on Genesis. Its hard as hell.

Played Populous 2 this evening; I still remember how I loved creating my own continent and islands where people can live and multiply; until the CPU rapes half the game map with earthquakes, sea demons and whirlpools and then kills people. ;____;

I can't beat Kintaro today, even though I did it in two turns like a week ago.

Been working my way through Flashback this morning, forgot how much I love this game!

Forgotten Worlds, i suck at some points, but it's not my fault: the rotation is quite slow and the enemies do some very cheap shots. I will beat it though, i'm sure.

I love how quiet the game is. Like Another World, with the only sound being your environment, the game feels so skeletal and atmospheric you can't help but be drawn in. You know how Gordon Freeman doesn't speak because you're supposed to project yourself onto his character? Sort of like that.

The 'package' has come. Super Thunder Blade has turned out decent so far.

I've been playing a lot of Second Samurai lately, decent game. Exploding cavemen and monkeys are hilarious :D

I played some Star Wars Rebel Assault on the Mega CD today, hard as balls, as I can't seem to get the hang of flying... Cool sound though :P

I can't figure out how to attack enemies in Warrior Of Rome 2.

Saint Sword is what I am playing, for my LPing. :) That and it's pure awesome.

Saint Sword and Second Samurai are two MD games that don't get enough credit for actually being quite fun really.

All I've been playing in the past week and a half are DS Tetris and my £2 copy of Ridge Racer Revolution for the PS1. Aargh.

I figured out how to attack in Rome, which was actually quite simple.

Yeah. ^^ I completed Saint Sword on my LP of it recently, the kicker halfway through really took me by suprise.

Shining Force 2. Finally finding the time to finish it after sitting on my shelf for 2 years....sheesh.

Did you wait till the credits ended? If not you missed Samuel L. Jackson walking in with a sword and yelling "Fight me Mutha Fucka!"

Still, there IS one last battle after the credits end.

Remembering the Mega Man gun from RE4 was fun today.

Played lots of Zero Gunner 2 yesterday and today.
Another awesome reason to own a modded or Japanese Dreamcast.

Got Gradius Rebirth last week and have been playing it to death ever since.

Playing an AWFUL lot of PSP Need For Speed - both Most Wanted 5-1-0 and the first one Underground Rivals.

I´m 20 hours into the DS remake of Dragon Quest IV. It´s really fun, and monsters have French accents (at least in the German version).:D

Can´t wait for part 5 anf 6...

Devil May Cry for my beloved PS2.
Bloody awesome game! I'm not a big fan of the camera angles, which make the controls a bit screwy, but it is some nice hardcore action and the music is pure.

Im in the middle of 3 games and any ROM I could think of.

Might and Magic 6

Heroes of Might and Magic 4

and

Shenmue 2

Soleil, Warioland 2, and I'd dug out Lunar Legend over a week ago. :)
