Trying to teach my wife how to play Gears of War
I had a great time playing DonPachi (SAT) with my brother this weekend, as well as Tennis 2K2 for the DC.
As of late I've been trying to 1CC Parodius for the SNES, but that speedy 5th stage is kicking my ass :(
I've been playing Exhumed on Saturn for the last few days. Saturn is awesome :D
Dynamite Headdy, still. Made it past the Nasty Gatekeeper multiple times. Now stuck at Fun Forgiven. Destroyed Tarot exactly once...and promptly died afterwards.
Still playing Exhumed, now one stage before the last !!!
I just One Gunned Dead Space. I'm not a trophy whore but I'm going for the Platinum on this just to see if I could do it/make my friend feel like an idiot/I really enjoy this game. It just sucks that you almost have to play through the game 3 or 4 times to get all the trophies though :/
The World Ends With You is something sure to pull me away from life as soon as I let it.
Waiting on my copies of Lunar: The Silver Star [SCD], Dark Savior [Sega Saturn], and Shinobi II [Game Gear] to come in the mail already.
I'm currently playing Eternal Sonata for the 360.
Banjo-Kazooie XBLA and Nuts and Bolts on 360.
Steel Empire, ncaa college football 2k2 (DC), wetrix dc
Was playing through Kingdom for Keslings and now am working on Tales of Vesparia if only because it was the only cheap deal I was able to nab on-line during the sales leading up to Black Friday. I'm liking the action battles as they remind me of Princess Crown, but in 3-D. I really want to grab Pure for $30 from Amazon, but I've been blowing all kinds of money on XBLA of late, and I still have plenty of games I've yet to finish.
Currently playing Dirge of Cerberus;Final Fantasy VII (PS2), just over 10 hours in.
I rediscovered Darius Gaiden on the Saturn today (I also 1 credit the game too), and I must say this game is amazing! Amazing 2D graphic effects that still blow my mind. And my god, I totally forgot how great the music was! Makes me long for a real Thunder Force game (made by Tecnosoft) with Darius Gaiden quality 2D graphics/effects (Joe get on it!)... This one's definitely going back into my daily rotation of retro games.
Ikaruga.
I tried to like it, but I can't help feeling it is way overrated.
Adding to the haunting difficulty, the scoring system is atrocious for the casual gamer, and the lack of power ups really bugs me.
I'd much rather stick with Radiant Silvergun.
Recently, Ive been playing some rare(ish) Sega CD games and the three games i got from Ken with his DC.
Sega CD: Wheel of Fortune, Surgical Strike, ESPN Baseball Tonight, Joe Montana's NFL Football
DC: Crazy Taxi, Soul Caliber, NFL 2k2
I enjoy the game up through the third level, after which the bullet hell from then on fries my brain. Radiant Silvergun is just a more fun experience for me with all the weapons to play around with, even if I'm not completely sold on the "points for power-ups" system. I still bought it again on XBLA if only to view some of those amazing replays.
Dynamite Headdy, still. Damn, this game is addictive! I’ve beaten every level individually, but have still yet to make it through a game all the way through. The Nasty Gatekeeper, who used to give me such trouble, has become ridiculously easy—oh, the irony! :daze:
I find that using the level select code to practice the harder, later levels helps a lot with this game. I probably never would have passed Twin Freaks otherwise!
Remember Family Feud for the Genesis? Yeah....
Stores have branches! Did you know that?
Now name some things with wooden legs.
Stool
Table
Chair
PINOCCHIO!
I hate this game, yet can't stop playing it.
I'm working on:
- Fable 2: Trying to finish this one up so I can complete Eternal Sonata. I want to beat them both before FINALLY tackling Lost Odyssey.
- GOW 2: Horde mode rules all.
- SSF2HFR: Akuma will fall by Christmas; I swear it!
I wanted to see some hot graphix today so I threw on Mickey mania cd and adventures of Batman n Robin cd. The intensely hard driving game version of B n R. The game has really nice graphics but even tho I have warmed a little to the Game's difficulty playing it is like hitting your head on a brick wall.
Outrun for the Genesis and Outrun 2 for the Xbox. I really love this game, its one of those I used to play a lot at a little pizza place down the street from my house and never really picked up again until I got it for my Genny a couple of years back. Outrun 2 isn't too shabby either.
I am currently playing Motorstorm: Pacific Rift and Sonic CD.
Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is quite easy for a racing game, and it is a very good looking game. I am playing Sonic CD for it's great music and thrills and pure nostagic value.
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga on 360. I love this game
Playing a lot of SMS Sonic1 and Exhumed / Powerslave on Saturn
Just finished playing Fallout 3 on the PC today.
I really enjoyed the game; the ending was kind of a letdown, though. A far cry from the ending sequences of its predecessors...
Beat Dynamite Headdy multiple times. Funny how the Nasty Gatekeeper and Twin Freaks go from insanely difficult to almost ridiculously easy once you know their secrets. Dark Demon remains a challenge, though. And for some reason Jacqueline Dressy the dancing wooden dress-makers’ dummy still gives me trouble (that stupid ballerina outfit gets me every time, especially as I find it easy to accidentally get head-tripped at the worst moment! :p)
Tried Chuck Rock II: Son of Chuck but quickly grew bored with it. Maybe I’ll eventually get into it enough to make a concerted effort to attempt it from beginning to end. In the meantime, I spent some time with playing an old fave—Vectorman—from beginning to end.
Playing Megadrive Columns when I get the time. As addictive as ever.
Also played Fire Pro D a few days ago. Not as good as I thought it was (I hadn't played it for ages). I prefer Fire Pro G.
Finally got around to finishing Fable, downer ending though.
Now it's time for Phantom Dust, Psychonauts,We Love Katamari, and probably a few others.
I spent most of the day Sunday making some decent progress on Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.
Shenmue 2
I almost want to say fuck you SEGA for this shit. I loved the first one. Well, I'm about 60% done.
I thought Shenmue 2 was amazing. Best game I ever played (either that or Shenmue 1). What do you think is so bad about it?
I took it as it was addicting as hell and he's already lost his job and significant other because of it.
Games are cheaper.
Except for Yur Mom!
BAAZING!
Anyway, Jade Empire is old but I'm just now discovering it.
Well, I came home this morning and instead of sleeping I beat Baku Baku on normal. I was happy.
Have been playing a bit of haunting this morning, it`s quite an enjoyable game!
