1516..Curly FTW! Three stooges rock!
I guess I won't make it to 1525...I'm leaving for Vegas then Denver in about two hours...so you guys have fun without me. It'll be rough, but you guys will manage I'm sure.
BUT I'm still going to make a pre-post for 1525:
Hapsburg forces, both Holy Roman Imperial troops, Spanish imperial troops and their Italian allies crush French forces at the battle of Pavia in 1525, giving the Holy Roman Empire and Hapsburg forces a decisive edge over the Bourbons in the Italian wars. More interestingly, the Hapsburg forces defeat the French thanks to their overwhelming advantage in the use of firearms. Well drilled, well equipped Imperial (holy roman imperial) arquebusiers and Spanish pikeman shatter the French cavalry and win the day!
