The first film was great because it had excellent special effects and it didn't take itself seriously at all, which also made it a pretty decent comedy.
Same director as City Slickers, BTW - also a great movie.

The first Tremors lured me into a false sense of security and so I bought the quadrilogy set! They get worse as they go on, by the last one I was pulling my hair out, now the set just gathers dust... about all it`s good for.

The SciFi "original" movies are the best...they're all total knock offs of real movies and they're hilarious.
I will never forget DINOSAUR ISLAND where during WWII these island hopping marines invade an island that's still inhabited by dinosaurs. Man that was hilarious...
I also love cheapo semi-softcore porn movies, that aren't totally softcore porn because they're mostly story and only have like 1 gratuitous unnecessary sex scene but they're horribly acted. The best one of these I ever saw was DotCom For Murder...HUEY LEWIS, Huey fucking Lewis played the hero, the grizzled detective who catches the murderer at the end.
Huey Lewis...my god I'm just laughing my ass off remembering that crap. Man I love being alive, I just love it...thank God for making his career tank so I can laugh my ass off for 90 minutes at a horribly made showtime original movie.
It's great to be alive, its great to be entertained by people who are finally doing work that matches their talent.
