Which Mecha-Sonic do YOU think kicks the most ass?
I think the S&K version is the best, its like a cross between the other two, bulky yet streamlined.

The one from Sonic 2 is my favorite although it really doesn't kick a lot of ass as the boss battle with it can be done in less than 13 seconds :/
Definitely the Sonic 3 iteration. Its character design is far superior to the crude Sonic 2 and gangly Chaotix versions.
The Sonic 3 one too, it's just better looking in every way; more spikes(like Sonic), he's taller, looks more "evil" than the regular Metal Sonic, and so on.
Though I'll point out that I like the Sonic 2 version a lot, too. When I first played Sonic Adventure, I was hoping he'd show up in future games since he's in the tube near Metal Sonic, but he didn't... It's a shame too, I think he has guns for fingers.
Also, as far as I know, they're named and in the following good platformers:
- Mecha Sonic: Sonic 3
- Silver Sonic: Sonic 2, Sonic 2 8-bit, Sonic Pocket Adventure, maybe more?
- Metal Sonic: Sonic CD, Chaotix, Sonic and Tails 2, and future games
I'm also certain the best one, Mecha Sonic, is supposedly dead forever. Though with the way the series went, all these classic characters are "dead" at the moment.
Sonic 2 the orignal and the best, plus you didn't want to mess with him lads, one hit and boom all over..
I always liked the sonic 2 version, its like a T800 hedgehog, and he WILL terminate you.
S3&K version
The one and only badass looking badnik
The CD/Chaotix one's my favourite - although I don't think the example above paints him in the best light - looks like he's walking a tightrope :?
S2's too bulky (and easy) and S3&K disappointed me - looks kind of cheaply made (sleek outers maybe, but nothing inside - and since he fell to pieces so readily that proves my point. Shoddy! :P)
The STC story with the Metallixes was good - details are hazy, but I believe it was based on the S&K story, though the artist used the design of the CD/Chaotix one instead. (Tell me this isn't cool.)
Btw there was another mecha Sonic in Chaotix - the big red one at the end.
Gotta go with sonic 2 Metal sonic, then a close second to the sonic cd metal sonic. If the two of them fought the sonic cd style robot would probably win though.
S&K, because he looks far better than the other two and I thought his battles, were also better.
The Sonic And Knuckles one by far, he just looks more powerful and more like a boss. The one from Sonic 2 is just what is says on the tin - a metal sonic. They kept bringing the one from Sonic CD back because he's similar to Sonicv but not to much the same.
Also I thought that the one from Sonic CD was Metal Sonic, the one from Sonic 2 was Silver Sonic and the one from S&K was a repair / upgrade / model 2 of Silver Sonic.
Theree was also a cool Metal Knuckles in Sonic R that never appeared again and a little Silver Knuckles in Sonic Advance but that was just a pallette recolour.
I'm surprised; I thought most people would say Metal Sonic.
I would have to say myself, Mecha Sonic (Sonic & Knuckles) is the best. Shoddy, like one person said, but surely you can't dismiss the cool battle with Knuckles against Super Mecha Sonic? It was too cool for words...
The CD/Chaotix one.
SEGA CD game. It beats all,
1. Went back in time to stomp on furry animals
2. Is Robotniks most best robot aside for Egg series
3. I read it Transforms in later games.
4. Races Sonic and is featured in Sonic R.
5. Looks cool and would make a nice comic series
6. Haas those terminator eyes.
7. Can do everything Sonic can.
8. Is created Snivly in the Animation series.
9. Might even be Sonic but robotisized in some other universe or time.
Why this one.
S2 RoboSonic is like watching Metropolis the movie robot on a parade. It is just for show and not for blow.
SK Robo is only one shade while it can go super and give a really big boss fight. It is based of Robo Sonic and reasons to beleive is the same RoboSonic Robot but downsized for the Genesis. This is why it has the MKII under it's name.
Robo-Sonic CD has it's own terminator personality which I really like and breifly appears in tails Robotnik chase stage in Sonic Adventure. You can't improve on Robo-sonic especially when he is also a wacky Racer.
There was also Robo-Knuckles on the Saturn that brefily returned on the GBA I think but it might look diffrent or was a diffrent model.
SEGA should just have a game featuring all the Sonic Robots and robotnik in some kind of Alien War. It would be like Burning Rangers only in Sonic World.
RegalSin, why must you ALWAYS post long posts? Can't you make them shorter?
