while i haven't spun the actual vinyl yet (at college with no turntable, but had to get one before they sold out) i did listen to them on youtube. "fresh" is awesome, still keeping their distinctive sound but not being redundant (if that makes sense). didn't enjoy the other track as much but maybe by the time the album rolls around i'll have changed my mind. saw they were going for like $20 on ebay the other day and my local record store had like 10 in stock at $9 a pop. not bad, had to jump on it.

The only downside was that their entire game selection was sports titles. There is a total of ONE store in my area that sells SNES titles for a $5 flat rate which I'll check out this weekend. The rest of the stores are the ones that think every popular game is worth $30 or more.

That's a fine-looin' SNES. You don't see many in such good condition.

I don't know where you people find this stuff. I've stopped in a dozen Goodwill and Salvation Army stores spanning across many towns, and I've never found anything. I don't know where you people live, but in this general region where I'm at, people just don't donate anything video game related.

Oh my God, I'm jealous. All I have is the super unreliable TurboGrafx CD attached to my TurboGrafx 16 with the standard TurboGrafx CD System Card.

Congratulations, Sicboy. I wish I'd have a PC Engine Duo-RX(or any Duo for that matter, even the original black PC Engine Duo with its leaky capacitors).

Got the DVD recorder/VCR combo for free, for helping my parents move their living room around. My mother wanted to pay me, and I told her she didn't need to, but insisted on giving me THIS instead. Score.

The Dreamcast I bought off a friend who was moving for $20. Not a bad deal, don'cha think?

A bit old but thought I'd share it.

I bought this at a community college flea market and the lady that sold it to me told that she used to work at Sega and that this was the cover art that Boris Vallejo submitted for Ecco the Dolphin. She said it's ink on something (forgot the name).
There was also the covers for Quackshot and World of Illusion but unfortunately someone had bought them before I did.
Best $5 I've ever spent.

Ignore the Ecco box, just used it for size comparison.

Today is Queen's day in Holland, so that means there's flea markets, which means lots of great goodies for bargain prices. Here's my score of the day so far:

The Revenge of Shinobi for the Mega Drive, in near-mint condition for €5. There's a few small surface scratches on the cartridge label and the obviously misplaced seal sticker stuck on the manual, but otherwise it's perfect. I already have this game ten times over, but I couldn't leave this one behind.

Die Hard 4.0 (aka Live Free or Die Hard) Blu-ray Disc, for €3. The plastic case is a bit scruffy, but all the inserts and the disc itself are in great condition. Okay-ish movie, not one I'd buy for the full price, but 3 euros is too good to pass up.

Sonic Rush for the Nintendo DS, completely mint, for €8. This one is actually not for me but for a friend, and he wouldn't be satisfied with anything less than mint. So that works out nicely.

This one is fun. This is an MSI GeForce 7600GT graphics card with 512 MB video memory, in AGP form. I bought this exact same card 1.5 years ago for around 60 euros, and my sister uses it now. I found this card in a bargain bin for, here it comes, one whole euro! This is actually one of the most powerful graphics cards available in AGP, and it's passively cooled and in great condition, so it makes for an excellent spare part.

its all up and running now :D I did an elaborate power mod to get it nicely work of a MD2 AC brick :)

I'm performing total capacitor replacement now and later on I'll figure out a sound mod as the sound was a bit muffled.

You got a CD32 to run off a MD2 AC brick? How'd you get that to work at all?

MD2 brick is capable of giving out at least 2A without igniting :P
I also used a very very power efficient voltage regulator to get 5V which is the main power rail. 12V is only used in the CD drive, and does not need to be very stable, it must be around 12V for CDs to work.
